Look at real championship team like Alabama, and how they're handling Miami in week one. OU can't tackle... it is not like it's a scheme issue, they just can't tackle...

why do fans exaggerate so much? it is just one game. take it easy. Pratt played well and he played hard but OU beat him up very good and the kid was roughed up by the OU defense.
I can’t fathom how ou manages to have such a mediocre defense every year given the athleticism they have.
Overrated coaches and players
They don’t recruit defenders like that. They may get a linemen here and there and a linebacker but their last line of defense (secondary) has sucked since Roy Williams played lol. That’s why they give up huge plays every other play

The problem is, these P5 teams need to start taking G5 teams more serious... Tulane is part the AAC, which is nicknamed the Power 6 conference for a reason... That conference has built a reputation for upsetting superior opponents.
They not going to drop that far because they still won. At most they will probably fall behind the winner of UGA and Clemson and Ohio State and go to #4 but not down to #15

The first catch from the Tulane reciever looks like a Madden animation. From the way the reciever does a ridiculous catch to how the corner just stands there and does nothing. He even does a celebration animation right after

What the Hell ever happened to the vaunted OU defense? I remember back on the early 2000s all the analysts would talk about the great zone blitz scheme of OU and OU would give up like 6 points a game. At some point...that all just totally unraveled. Around the Sam Bradford Era I think it was. Now they're just the upper middle class man's Texas Tech of the Mike Leach era. Lol.

Tulane had a solid game, definitely a sleeper. I honestly don't think they were playing above what they are capable of, they showed some solid signs of a decent team. I wish them luck this year. Glad OU came out with the W but as an OU fan season openers are always sus lol.... Oregon and Houston to name a few.

They get the same in state recruits as LSU just more go to LSU for obvious reasons but Tulane still gets a handful of 3 and 4 star recruits . their issues have been mostly coaching disasters the last 10 years

nice to see the new season start up. a win is a win. nothing to worry about here. this was one game against a very good team. just because they are unknown does not mean they are not any good.
this was a team win and I think the main issue with the team is the lack of depth at RB. only have two scholarship players at RB is impacting this team.
plus, the kicker for OU is a legit pro. that kid has a strong leg who might win another few games for this team with that right leg.

Spencer rattler has some pretty awesome looking feet and well he still needs to grow he sure slings that football effortlessly. I am not a fan of Oklahoma but I have to admit that he looks pretty smooth overall. Man-Thing is he clearly has the physical and he looks very comfortable and confident so that's a good sign for him.
Good job Tulane. Go on the road after a hurricane, play good football. Hold your heads high boys.

This is only the first game (and they didn’t five up any points for almost two whole quarters) but the defense is the biggest question mark on the team atm.
