It took me until I was 26 to open a credit card because I was so scared everyone would think I was a complete idiot for not knowing what the process was. And I was only spooked about it because I royally fucked up my student loan repayment and didn’t want to fuck up again financially. I asked my dad to sit down with me for a half hour because he literally did the same damn thing 10 years ago, and he laughed at me and called me a child for not being able to handle my own shit.
