Full transparency comment: I still have this tripod and still use it, but the telescoping legs have broken over time. Still usable, but not super impressed with the issues I've had long term. I've also heard from a couple other users they've had similar issues.
1 year review: everything fell apart, the company blamed me and I found out it I& f made a cheap knockoff of the authentic benro version, which I have now bought. The saying rings true, but a good tripod once and never buy one again. I’ve been through so many but this one broke the camels back when they blamed me for a shotty knockoff.
You know what? I completely agree. At the time of the review it felt like a nice light weight tripod, but mine has fallen apart since then as well. I don’t recommend it anymore.

They really insulted my intelligence and played games with me, trying to trick me into thinking I was doing things wrong. Sending me videos of a different tripod and how to fix it.. then when I responded multiple times with a reasonable explanation of why their justification was bogus, they disappeared. Even their email addresses were 092749392729@ .. like designed to never be searched or reveal identity.. so sketchy. They’re not the innovator, they ripped off the r&d of real forward thinking people. Every imitation has limitations, if you’ve bought one I urge you leave a review on their eBay stores and stop people getting ripped off. I don’t usually do this stuff but I’ve had enough this time around
"dumbbell" ??? How about an empty nylon "photo"sandbag"(and a big ziplockto makeemptying easier)? fill it with sand, rocks,water, whatever you can find.

Yo Sam Great video! Thinking of buying this tripod. My only question/thought about it is the quick release everything I own has a manfotto pad on the bottom. Is it compatible or worth the switch? Keep up the great work 🤙🏼
There’s a quick release built into this tripod but it’s a turn knob and not a latch. The whole mechanism unscrews so you could mount a manfrotto quick release system if you prefer. Thanks for watching!
How does everyone find the twist legs? I want to upgrade to a more compact tripod but have heard quite a few negative comments about those twist legs and the head that has to be screwed to tighten the camera clamp. (rather than the ones that clip in)
After using it for a good year plus now I’ve had one twist leg break. Not to a point where I can’t use it but the tube just comes all the way out. The head has wiggled loose on me a few times and crashed across the floor while in the airport. Initially this tripod seemed like a great light weight fit for my needs, but at this point I wouldn’t by another. Just my experience so far.
The whole head of the tripod wiggles loose one time and fell off in the middle of the airport. I’ve also had a recent issue with one of the legs falling out completely. The little stopper must have broken inside. I still use this tripod regularly because it’s so light and fairly sturdy, but a manfrotto may be in my near future.

Yes. You'd just need a gopro mount with a standard tripod adapter. Then attach the plate to the gopro.

Have you ever experienced the lock ring “unlocking” on its own while being strapped to a backpack?

Does the Peak Design dual plate (arca Swiss and rc2) work on the ballhead that comes with this tripod?
Is the ball head an Arca Swiss compatible ?
It's a standard 3/8" thread, so yeah you could switch it out for any head with those measurements. Thanks for watching!
