@Giovannakos7 there are actually quite a few. i'm just gonna mention one band that has TWO black dudes in it, that are legendary, hugely influential, and for a long time were like one of my top 2 fave bands. SUFFOCATION! still love them. i'm just getting more into melodic/symphonic black/death metal lately as more comes out.
the drums are unreal. he said "hell awaits" in respect to slayer and at 2:43 the solo style at 3:20? with that solo is total slayer respect. each line ends the same with the melody though with their songs.

But u hear that alot in Black sabbath , and zepplin riffs and Thrash riffs too. The 1-b3-4 progression aka the metal progression is a play off the blues scales. Progressions are based of Scales but only used for riffs. Just like white made Basketball, we made metal, rock, and blues. Sabbath and them just made it popular.
It really doesn't matter what we think because they are living the dream..... These types of vocalists are always attacked, take bands like maiden, nevermore, queensryche and even skidrow, they all had vocalists that had voices that are bigger than the sound and style of music that they are singing to. no big deal it just adds more variety to the metal scene regardless of genre.
Metal isn't my style but this is fucking hard and raw, just brutal sounding as well as nicely composed, the riffs have nothing to envy to any other band
