As someone who got excited for a Drone Show and was extremely disappointed. I was wondering if in Portsmouth there were confused and disappointed faces after your show?
In Canberra Australia we had a "display of pictures" that was mildly amusing. I like most of the people around me kind of expected an awesome display of technology 💁🏼♀️😂

I'm a fireworks fanatic, too, BUT! This tribute is THE most fantastic, wonderfully thought-out display I've ever seen in my life. I can't thank the people who recorded this enough. You just cannot paint pictures like these with fireworks. This show was not meant to compete with fireworks; it was intended to honor those who gave their lives so that we would not all be speaking German right now.
I feel everyone around me really enjoyed it. I think it was one of those ‘you had to be there to feel the energy’ days. The whole day of events had built up to the drone show. There was some commentary and music accompanying the show, and if you haven’t seen it, it’s well worth a look. I think you can find it via the BBC. It gives some context to the show. Thanks for watching.

When they first went up, I could hear the occasional buzz during the show, but it was nowhere near as loud as I thought it would be. Thanks for watching.

There was some music however you could only really hear it if you was closer or had tickets to the main ceremony. If you have a look for the BBC coverage you will be able to view the show with the music and commentary for some context behind the images. It’s well worth a watch.
