I'm pleased Parham won this game. He's a heck of a nice guy and an excellent player.
His smile was not an insult action , He smiled because he was suprised that Nepo couldn't analyze this simple tactic , He just couldn't believe that !
I think Parham thought Nepo would resign after that fork for the bishop so he laughed like he always does, but Nepo continued playing on
Parham is one of the most passionate chess players I've ever seen. So him laughing is just one of the ways he expresses the enjoyment of the match he had.
While most players tend to stay focused and relaxed in these type of situations so they don't get taken over emotionally
Nepo has lost so many important games because of f5. He should never play the move anymore. lol
looks like he tried hard to keep his pawn on f2 some moves ago
@KarlMarxBR700 Nepo lost a critical WCC game against Ding because of f5. His track record of f5 blunders is astonishing
czcams.com/video/vtaQnlw4jOA/video.html
Nepo aimed to checkmate Parham with the bishop on g1 and the rook on h2. However, in any case, Parham's position was better. That's the reason for his mistake
He smiled after taking bishop
Hard work no substitute for talent alone. Nepo thinks he should be at or near the top of each tournament he plays in and shakes his head when he’s not as though he’s had very bad luck.
Nepo really has a blind spot F5....it was such an obvious blunder in this position too, weird for a super GM to miss it.
Nepo and f5 🗿

Nepo and Nakamura should have a battle of facial expressions
Nepo pawn move blunder.. happens many times.. good job Parham!!
4:50
Nepo is just looking like a walking depression
You can say this about most chess players including Magnus
im here for the facial expressions
Very good game 👍🏻
twins!
Nepo and the blunders a story that will never finish 😂😂 so weird that he managed to win 2 times the candidate. How does that could be ?
The moment 4:34
I would never smile for an opponent's blunder, respect
I would if I beat someone superior too mee feels damn gooddd
My boy nepo is not in mood
Nepo just ran away! Parham plays for fun not for blood echoing Edward Lasker.
Edward? Blood...what?😂😂
@@toSirius you seem new to chess! read the book Chess for fun and Chess for Blood by Edward Lasker
Nepo is so depressed in that time so he cant played well, nepo get up and be grateful I'm so proud of you
I think Nepo gave all he had. The indians have arrived and Daniil himself is the one who can go after Magnus.
4:50 nepo : su..a su..a su..a bl..t
Din taking notes on you Nepo . f5 bro f5 man
-Nepo : bishop g1 Rook h2 mate !!
- Parham :What bishop ?! 😂
😂😂😂
Why didn't he take the White's rook
Black rook was also attacked by white knight...Rooks off the table its impossible for black to hold
The black pawn would then be unstoppable if both rooks were gone, the knight would fail to stop it. In that case Nepo would have won instead of losing and of course Parham saw that and did not trade rooks.
Not just that when Parham checked him with the knight on Nf3, the knight covered the 3rd rank so that he could capture the A pawn on the next move without the black rook defending it. The black rook was eyeing to capture the g3 pawn and also looking to defend his own pawn by the 3rd rank. Parham prevented that by checking with the knight, gaining a tempo and also blocking the rook.
That was the purpose of the check not a fork and to grab the rook.
@@unlock01 are you mad I mean how nepo win if rooks were traded it was easy win for parham. If rooks were traded or not being 1800 I can also able to beat nepo on that position and I prefer to trading of rook because of symmetrical pawn structure on both side my knight easily take all black pawn.
@@chessonline4848 bro I am talking of the instance just before nepo resigned at 8:00 why that Nf3 check. I am 2100 blitz rated on lichess, if white night takes rook and black king takes white rook then outside A pawn of black would be unstoppable, white knight is too far to stop it. I hope you get it.
@@chessonline4848 you both are talking about different positions he's talking about the position at the end where nepo resigned while you're talking about the earlier tactic .
Chess
nepo plays too quick in every format
At 04:07 he already knows he's going to blunder!
i noticed in 15 games that Nepo lost in 2023 to present he always messes up F5. Like Nepo you know i love you but for the sake of my mental health take care of F5 LOL
Dont like nepos style
Parham's laugh was not a good thing at all and it shows the weak character of this player who does not respect her opponent.
Nepo made a mistake because he was bored. You can see it in his eyes
idgaf really he is in top 5 but still doing mistakes like that
Stupid excuses. It a game. Makes your legacy look like shit
He is always bored
This guy on the right was really a world champion contender? What a joke. He’s a low class gm
nothing could be further from the truth
he doesn't even reach 2800 rating.
He is a beast, he is doing well in blitz now.
he’s in a 7 way tie for the lead after day 1
‘This guy on the right’ …
