The werewolf looks like a giant Happy Meal toy, but still, Home Depot did a better job on their animatronics than Spirit did this year.
I honestly couldn’t agree more, it’s just the shiny plastic look that makes the werewolf sorta meh

The werewolf is shiny to represent the full moon reflection. Looks amazing in person 👌

Dean is also my favorite, I *love* him so much. I think his design is simple but effective. I love the bottle, I love his phrases, he's just SO good.
Something that really sets him apart for me is how good his voice acting is. So simple but SO good.
In my opinion home depot has a great linup this year!

They are advancing every year while Spirit is downgrading every year
I like their line up this year. The hovering witch is probably my favorite but the Home Depot website has a wind rating of 20mph which I see regularly during that time of year so no go for me

In my opinion, I think Smoldering Reaper of souls is number 1, his scythe is amazing, i really like the color scheme, and his phrases are awesome.

Just paid 160 for the hovering witch yesterday. Took awhile to put together. Terrible instructions. But the end product is awesome.
Got the witch this year, and it was a pain to put together. I was also skeptical of how she’d hold up in the weather. However, she made it with no issues for about 6 weeks, and was a huge hit with the neighborhood. Honestly think people liked her more than our original Skelly. I was pleasantly surprised with the witch
My only problem with Dean is that just like last year he's been scalped as soon as he hit the website. I've tried every day to order him and NADA! I'm praying he's in store, otherwise I'm finished with Home Depots games, they have to get stock available in stores otherwise its a non starter. Anyway! Love Dean, if I can get my hands on him!!!
Same with smoldering reaper. It's bullshit. Gonna look around a couple home depot's today so wish me look. Good luck to you as well

the LCD eyes should of been done red- instead they are all the same color and animation in every prop they seem to make- going back to the 12 foot skeleton
Reaper is not a reskin, it has a new Scythe and New phrases and more movement while talking.
And the model is actually bigger

I noticed the newer model only has head movement though, compared to the older which moves his torso as well, but the head stays static for a portion of the phrases

I agree with the werewolf, he looks too fake which defeats the purpose of a scary animatronic.
I do disagree about oogie boogie. I never associated the green color to him, I always thought him to be the burlap color. Be er liked it when people made him green since that’s not his color. Actually has a discussion with someone about that the other day 😂
I like the inferno reaper from last year better than the new one. It had torso movement in addition to the head and it reaches out with one arm rather than just hold the scythe. I also like the darker colors of the robe and eye color.

Everybody says Home Depot did better than Spirit, but really, Spirit’s animatronics we’re great! Home Depot doesn’t do themes for each year like Spirit does. I grew up with Spirit so I like them more than Home Depot.

Just my opinion, but these animatronics are literal shit, i prefer the spirit lineup this year. All of these are tall animatronics with little to no detail. Atleast spirit can make a animatronic that is under 8 foot that is GOOD. Some of these are good but most are pretty shitty

Home depot kinda sucks this year...their big 3 are all terrible (witch, werewolf, and phantom). They need new sculptors their witches, reapers, and gravediggers literally look the same every year!!! Spirit is so much better unless youre a mommy who doesnt like anything 'scary'. I hope they do better in 2023....poor showing this year.
Bruh the last time spirit’s ISEs were scary was in 2017, so keep going on about how Home Depot is only for “mommies who don’t like anything scary”

@@bujurasta4894 and you have to concede that spirits 2022 season sucks, they have a life sized clown prop that costs $350. Spirit kept on getting bigger and better every year, which held them to a high standard. Not even mentioning that spirits scariest prop is online-only, and won’t even be seen by anyone who walks into stores. (oh and P.S., just because something is unique, doesn’t make it good)
