- Check out Abu Dhabi's curious Long Salt Lake! Found alongside the Al Ain highway, close to Al Bihouth, the Al Wathba Long Salt Lake has recently exploded in popularity, garnering social media fame for its crystal clear waters and mushroom-like stacks of sodium chloride.
Grab the car keys, fill that adventurous soul of yours.

We got lost. Took the wrong turn. Got the wrong salt lake.
Car got stuck in the sand in the middle of the desert!
We call the police at 999 and downloaded the UAE rescue app.

Hi. I used google maps and it took me to a wrong location! I drove a very long sand road by the High Voltage towers and got me no where. Any tips you can share please?
Hello. Did you try Waze instead? And also try 'Long Salt Lake" on the search bar. It was just next to that sand road leading to the high voltage towers, you must pass by that. Try these coordinates: 24.1589° N, 54.5025° E
