Elecraft KX2, PA, ATU, EFHW in a modular set-up on an e-bike!

This video is all about Ham Radio outdoorsy. This time I share my experience in setting -up a compact ham radio station on my e-bike. It includes Elecraft KX2 transceiver and HF power amplifier to it, a powerfull LiFePO4 battery, N7DDC automatic antenna tuner and the Shorty 80-10 antenna. It’s all about fun, actually!

Another great deployment video! My favorite deployment currently is with the Elecraft AX1 that I connect to the top of an expandable hiking stick with an elevated radial. It deploys in about 5 minutes. Cheers!

I have yet to get an eBike... it's on my list, with my wife's enthusiastic approval. We live along the river here in Boise. An extensive network of trails (the Greenbelt) goes along the river, and provides ample opportunity for Field Operations.
I've ordered the QMX, but given it's popularity (earned), perhaps I'll have it by Christmas.
Adding a field amp to my KX2 is tempting... for now, I'll save for an eBike. Thanks Linas! Great video my friend! de W7UDT

Thanks Randall! Great news regarding the e-bike and routes availability! In some of my videos you can see me on an e-trike, it's also a possibillity in the same price range . The e-trike is more stable when you getting used to it, and has more storing space for the gear etc.

Thanks for a great inspiration. Going to try this with my KXPA100 (since I own it already, hi hi). I think I have an antenna that will handle the 100w and I have an internal Elecraft tuner in both the rig and the amp. Nice to see how yours is getting along. 73 de WC3T
