- Hello everyone, it is with great joy and pleasure that I can finally present my next animation, called "AFTON FAMILY: The Story". This is my 3rd animation for this song, but it is completely different from the previous two, unlike the past ones, it really shows the entire afton family. I didn't think that I would make as many as 3 animations for this song, but after hearing just an amazing remix from APAngryPiggy, I just couldn't resist). @@sandwich3989, and hubris. The ancients can certainly tell you that it led to theirs, and he seems to have been caught up in the idea of becoming a god, without realising his family would be hurt in the process.

The fact that william wasn't afraid of the funtime animatronics. But rather was afraid of Circus baby, the animatronic that took his daughter was a nice touch imo.

@@Russian_xedits_he wouldn’t forget get because he refused to die so he could bring evan and elizabeth back as clara Afton showed they could make believable humans (Gregory) with animatronic parts and he could inject there remnant into the endoscelitons.
I like how Michael is the one to greet him at the end. He just looks over and have raises his arm in a “Hey” or “Come on” gesture.
Despite all of William's terrible actions, in some ways he can be understood. But the way he doubts at the end whether he can really go back to his family is very touching and brings out emotions. The Aftons truly have an extremely tragic story.
Cuz he killed after his children got killeed and he killed cuz he wanted to find a way to revive them (which he kinda did)
I like how this actually show Afton having regrets for his actions I noticed that when he patted Elizabeth’s head after she broke out of her suit instead of attacking her dad she just smiled and let him pat her head it seems in this video Springtrap wants to save his family and be free

This is absolutely phenomenal. Not often does such a short story feel like a punch in the gut, but that scene with Springtrap forced to helplessly watch his son die got me

brutalizing him and showing that he if not fixes at least regrets the bad things he’s done heck this might be the story where he killed the children to bring his son back which in my opinion was a better story writing that Scott should’ve kept
@@OffMuller Cassidy died before Elizabeth. William thought that this is Henry's fault, so he killed Henry's daughter. Then William built funtime animatronics that were supposed to kill children. And then, by accident, Circus Baby killed Elizabeth. (Btw, William didn't allow Elizabeth to get close to these animatronics, so he really carried about his daughter's safety)

I like how it doesn't necessarily make him appear as a good man but a tragic one.
From what I understand, William always cared about his children (except Michael because he blames him for the death of the crying child and that’s the starting point of the downfall for him). When he started killing it was by revenge against Henry who built fredbear and when Elizabeth died and he discovered the remnant, he killed to understand better the remnants and bring back his kids
no he found about remnant ay before elizabeth died. He created circus baby to kill kids but that's why he never wanted her tto go near tht. And after C.C' s death he did not became a monster. he was a monster from before. He blamed michael for everything but actually micahel was only gaslighted by him.

William Afton is definitely one of the most complex villains within a story. William Afton has done terrible things and things that are quite unforgivable but he was also at one point a family man. A man who had a wife as well 3 children he cared about a family he tragically lost due to him losing his sanity when 2 of his youngest children died, as well as his friendship/partnership with Henry fell apart and became the monster we all know him to be within the story. He's a character of true tragedy and that's definitely one of the biggest reasons why I love fnaf soo much. Scott is a true genius. As for the music video well done.

I really liked how you included Micheal as one of the people / animatronics that seek him because William (who later becomes spring trap ect) would blame him for his siblings death which resulted in him dying himself by following a task that William asked to do. It shows him seeking revenge which I find really interesting

And in the end when they said “You Won’t die” over and over again, they were preventing Michael from dying to the scooper. Then he trapped all of the animatronics in the Pizzeria in FNAF Pizzeria Sim and then burned it down, which takes you to Security Breach

I really like this story and animation behind this.
William Afton constantly relives his torment and his regrets, and it's not until the end where he learns to care more and accept his family instead of neglecting them like in the games and such.
One of my Au characters named Quincy is very similar to William, but he is quite different. He lost him twin brother Gabriel to William when he was only 3 years and couldn’t understand what happened. He had four siblings and was only five years old at death due to springlock failure in Shadow Freddy. But instead of being so vengeful, he promised to protect his only remaining brother, which caused him to revive as his regular self alongside his sister and brother. He was also abused by William when trying to protect Michael, causing him to be blind and having a long scar on his face. And yes he is a Afton.

wow, the animation is incredible, every detail, the fluidity of the materials, the fog, the settings, it is a production at the level of Disney and even more
Rather than the cruel child killer he is, this portrays William as a loving father who is stuck as Springtrap in his regrets, reliving a hell he can't escape because of his own actions. But the thing I loved the most about this was that at the end of it all, he just wanted to be reunited with his family again, and he was in the end with that sweet 'Welcome back'. Amazing job on this animation!

I am very grateful that you made sych an amazimg animation that cast William Afton in a different light. Instead of being portrayed as evil was portrayed as a tormented soul. He may have been evil and did many volatile things but he still had a shred of humanity left that relates to all of us. He loved his family very much and cared for them. To which turned into a hell of pain an suffering as he saw his own children die in his arms especially the fact they died from what he has created on accident that scarred him that slowly devoured his mind leaving him very mentally ill. You have my up most respect gor making this video. I was even tearing up at the end of this Thank you so much^^

I honestly believe he was a great father and even a great person at one point. My theory is that William Afton went insane after Elizabeth and C.C. died. Upon the death of the two youngest he probably saw it as unfair that his family went through so much suffering, therefore inflicting pain on other families in the same way. Some people wonder why he would do that to someone else when he knew how it felt. To put it simply: Insanity. Hence the line in the song “Lives they fell to pure insanity.” Finally, for the debate of if William hates Micheal. Personally I think that since Michael was part of the reason C.C. Died, William probably puts the blame on Micheal. And from that point everything just went downhill for everyone in the family.

Find this punishment for his deeds amazing, after being alone for so long and then rewatching his whole family die. Nothing he could do by then, it can change people sort of like how we see in fnaf 4 it's C.C reliving his death over and over again or it is at least hinted at by golden Fred bear. It doesn't justify him not even the slightest but the fact in a slow light we watch him gain a part of him through out the song is well versed. him actually caring for his kids and regretting what he did in the past, and not just fans theorizing he was a shitty dad and didn't care for his kids. If he didn't care for his kids he wouldn't have them, I think his work got to his head and just made him so focused on it, that he was oblivious to the deaths of his own kids.

I would say he is a caring dad cause he always tried to keep them away from the animatronics. The kids just found a way to be alone and get killed by them.

One of my fave FNAF songs
William probably started out as a good normal person with a flair for mechanics and with a lovely wife and three children who he loved. He and his friend decided to combine their talents to make a resturant of animatronics, where their kids could play and enjoy themselves. But William focused on his work a lot, to maintain the great hopes he had, same as his friend Henry. Tragically, he lost his first kid with circus baby, then also the crying kid, leaving him nothing left but his oldest kid who shoved the kid into the mouth, causing hatred and blame destroying the family while his wife either died or left him, and in grief he then killed Henrys daughter who was outside, seeing it unfair Henry should be blissfully happy with his kids alive.At that, I think he realised there was no turning back. Circus Baby means Elizabeth Afton. We can confirm that her eye color changed from blue to green after the death of Elizabeth Afton.

I love how you just broke down Afton’s mind, as to making him feel guilty enough to plead for Fredbear to let him rest, and his “inner peace” symbolizing what could have happened if he stood to the path of righteousness rather than straying away and becoming satan himself.

I can’t help but think that William/Springtrap has already suffered a punishment - he deserves his piece and yet he continues to suffer. I like that at the end of this animation, he finally gets peace with the ones he lost. Yes, I know what everyone is thinking while reading this: he murdered many children, and to that I say: William Afton suffered his punishment - he deserves peace and to see his family together once more.

Like all the other comments said, William unfortunately doesn't seem to be regretting any of his actions which is kind of a shame. IDK maybe they'll give him a redemption arc someday eventually but until then I'll just stick to Super FNAF for William having a redemption arc. There's also a fanfic by Tenebrae Vesper called Salvaged and if you like William redeeming himself, you should go check that fic out.

Though we still may never know why William did it, at least the rest of his family got to move on. Though the amalgamation of animatronics appeared to have killed Burntrap, there’s no doubt William will come back. After all, there still may be a while cult to Afton that may bring him back. Glitchtrap may be anywhere. As long as the main antagonist keeps coming back, the series may never end.
The crying child ( his son ) died to fredbear, his daughter died to CB, and his wife was killed by him and put into ballora. So no, I doubt they moved on.

Although what William Afton did was horrible and repulsive, I truly do believe that everyone has a bit of humanity left in them regardless of what they’ve done. Although I know he doesn’t really regret what he’s done, I know he is in agony and the only way he can deal with that is by pretending he’s confident in all he’s done.
William Afton is very clearly meant to be a psychopath. Psychopaths are incapable of feeling love towards anyone. They may keep people around if they can get something out of the relationship, but at the end of the day, they care about what you give them and not you as a person. I truly believe this is the case for game William Afton. Once you become useless to him, he will throw you away without any hesitation(take Baby for example. He literally locked her away and let others torture her in the form of electronic shocks. He only decides she’s worth anything when she decides that she wants to help him in his plans in the hopes that he will be proud of her afterwards. Not only that, if Vanessa really is meant to represent Elizabeth in Security Breach, William Afton manipulated her into testifying against her own mother so that he could make her look bad and gain custody of the children. None of his actions in game even remotely imply that he cares about anyone except himself. You can headcanon him as caring about his children if you’d like, but canon Afton just doesn’t.

He murdered 5 (and more) children, he didn't even know, went to lengths to create murder robots that consumed the life of his daughter and he turned a blind eye to the bite of '83', He destroyed the friendship between his business partner, Henry Emily, and even murdered his daughter in cold blood where there was no- one save her, not even the children who afton had bribed to stop the puppet to save charlie, He didn't care about the children deaths even Evan's death as well so i think deserved it, every ounce of it, yet what makes you think he should let off the chain a little. What you've said about having a little bit of humanity left is true but this demon doesn't have any. He got what he wished, to get away with murder and now, he always comes back.
