- My Childhood Dreams come true at long last. I love the Rohirrim, I love The Riders of Rohan, Helm's Deep, Theoden, Eomer, Eowyn, all of it. I don't really know what to write here other than this is my favourite video I've made in a long long long time. Massive thankyou to Games Workshop for sending me the Rohan Battlehost early to review and paint up for all of you. I couldn't be happier than I am right now. Genuinely.

Agree the moment in time these films came out was magical. Was an awesome three years. The Two Towers is my favorite as well - though of course I love all three films more than I can say. There was just something about Rohan, the setting, the colors, the music, the armors, on and on that just spoke to me, and I'm sure millions of others.
The models turned out awesome, as always.
If you don’t think the charge of the Rohirrim (in either movie) is one of the finest moments of visual storytelling ever, we just can’t be friends.
The "thing" on the shield is the Boss. Thanks so much for the helpful guide, I've been contemplating all my old LOTR stuff to get painting. They're quick enough to help me toward model neutral this year!

As a horseman from a very young age Rohan is me through and through so glad those films portrayed them so vividly...just wish they showed more

It's nice to have a new guide to painting these. Up until this video, I was still using the Battle Games in Middle Earth magazine and always spent 10 minutes converting the paint names.
Could you please make a vid on how you based these miniatures?
I don't understand how you get the colors so smooth. Using the same colors, my stuff comes out so much darker. Do you have your pots of contrast pre-thinned? I can't understand how you get such a different result compared to what I do. Please, any advice would be hugely helpful
If the stalker 2 map is that big there is an opportunity for them to introduce vehicles aswell. Maybe a truck that you could use as storage or like a 4×4 like a lada niva

Very timely video I was looking to how to paint my Rohirrim that I've had for about a year and done nothing with. You've just inspired me to get them painted
Great video as always. I'm really undecided as to whether I like the Contrast greens or not. On 15mm figures I find they work well but on 28mm I'm not 100% happy with them. I find their coverage is somewhat inconsistent such that you end up getting a lighter patch in the depths at times where you'd hope (expect!) it to be darker. I had to do 2 coats of Creed Camo on my Gondor Ranger cloaks (and it's still a bit meh) and I see you have used Pox Walker, that improves the look too. I'm tempted with Gondor to just use a forest green Vallejo (I hate Citadel paint pots) and then maybe the Creed camo as a wash on that rather than buy yet another Contrast I'm not happy with. Some work well for me, many don't. Really enjoy your content.

A year late, but the round metal bit of the round shield is called a shield boss.

How did you get the round pegs of the riders into the hexagon holes in the base and still get them to be straight?

Did you use grey seer in an aerosol can to prime?
For the horses if I wanted to add some muscle definition like you do on eomer what colour would you use for each?
Using one of the new shades like Agrax Earthshade or Targor Rageshade should help you! For the white Horse though I’d recommend a touch of Nuln Oil
What ratio do you use to thin down iron warriors to get that super nice consistency? I can't seem to get it

@warhipster I was looking at getting the Forge paint Ghoul grey as a substitute to Grey seer, but stocks seem low. Will Army painter matt white also work as an alternative? Failing which I'll just go with GW Grey seer spray paint
