My biggest problem playing on switch has just been the game literally disconnecting and kicking me out and having to reload in and having progress not saved.
They sort of addressed this in the new patch. I went from the game closing out once or twice an hour to once or twice in 6+ hours of gameplay.
The bug with the forest they apparently addressed because when I logged in I had Dream Shards in my Mailbox explaining that there is a situation where you can't continue if you don't have enough and they were making sure it didn't happen. So, not only is this game amazing but the developers are clearly on top of shit.
As much as I love Animal Crossing this game does what Animal Crossing does better and adds some childhood "friends" along side it. The story is far more interesting IMO as well. Especially later in the game.
never got into animal crossing i am too many hours deep in this game though. I still can't shake the feeling i'm too old for disney games though but its so cute

@wolf harrington Grandma Shirley! That woman was amazing. More people could stand to be like her. If I ever make it to her age (Plot Twist: I won't, lol) I will most definitely still be playing games provided I'm able. I've dealt with about all the seriousness and Truly terrible shit I'm ever going to (As opposed to the 1st world non-issues that people like to clamor about on twitter) and playing games is about the one thing I can think of that actively takes me out of my own head long enough to enjoy it.

@@100millioneuros agree I need sprinklers or make so you only have to water once the constant watering is tedious. Kinda wanna boot up animal crossing after playing this.
I plant all my crops and then do the soufflé while they are growing. I do about 40 soufflés at a time. Auto fil is the key forsure!

I woke up like an hour ago, played a grind with scrooge and mining to make like 20k upgraded my house, Remys restaurant, and then made a bunch of soufflé and back to 14k with no inventory. Tomorrow I shall garden with micky and wall-e I just got the forest where Kristof is. Also the booty shorts!!!! Well it's off to work with this in the background.
I am not sure if you figured it out yet but you can add rooms to your house by standing on that elevator thing right inside your house and also the moonstones are just for the timed event that lasts about a month. It's all cosmetic stuff so it's up to you if you want to unlock the premium path or not to get more things. Free-to-play players can still do it but some items are locked. With the ultimate founders pack you got 20k moonstones and its 2500 to unlock it so 20k gets you a lot of months of events. I got a cute incrediSquirrel pet to follow me around. :)

Had a bad glitch w the curse quest but managed to fix it by switching out quests, other than that it's been great and watching your streams while I play makes it even better ✨

I'm enjoying the game so far but I fear I won't when microtransactions start. It doesn't scratch the Animal Crossing itch for me yet though. I hope it does. Animal Crossing though is just so unbelievably chill, the decorating is easier, and although I suspect the characters will have a lot more personality and growth in this Disney game, I like that the Animal Crossing characters aren't such established IP that you kind of get to put your own story on them.
What would the microtransactions even be though? I think it will continue to just be moonstones for star paths. However there will be expansion packs in the future, read that somewhere
Yeah in my opinion I think this game is actually really chill but decorating wise I think there is more to do like you can move houses, and decorate,unlock stuff, move fauna and all that good stuff. I think that makes it pretty easy, but that’s me. The thing I like about this though is that Disney has so much they can bring to the game because of how much content they’ve created over the years.. Because of that they won’t run out anytime soon. Also because it is a free game they’re going to need to support themselves somehow.. because “free” is not always sustainable by itself. As long as the content is good I don’t mind it. I don’t mind having to pay for stuff that I’m getting my bang for my buck worth out of. You get what you pay for. As long as that ratio is balanced.
@@Cyborous I don't mind the profit incentive but Disney doesn't have a good reputation when it comes to affordability and their products.
Same with the feeling that AC let's you add your own story. I was going to comment the same thing yesterday but I get into my head on whether the comments are actually interesting to others or just for myself. Like I have thoughts about the game but I don't want to mess other people's vibes so I just ended up deleting it.
@@personalclips yeah like I love that of course, Disney characters have more personality in their dialogue that ACNH severely lacked but AC's stories and characters aren't as set in stone as Disney.
Also I think part of the fun is discovering the backstories of AC characters (especially in past games where they do that more) instead of already knowing them like most of Disney IP.
I've found a weird problem, I've maxed both Minnie and Gooft's friendships (10) and they unlocked clothing items (Minnie's Dress and Goofy's beanie) but I can't find them anywhere? They aren't in my collection or in my outfits/clothes to wear.. I'm confused? The Minnie ears are unlocked earlier in the track and I can find those.
I have this too, I saw a post elsewhere that said we have to finish their friendship quests too.. which are tied in with other characters so it’ll take a while to get the final items. :(

I was thinking Poison Ivy did this, but she's DC, Disney is Marvel... So maybe it was Maleficent because there were thorns around sleeping beauty's Castle and everyone fell asleep. Maybe now the spell is forgetting 🤔. Loving the streams
From what I've gathered through dialog it feels to me like the "Old Ruler" might have been your character when they were a child? Then as they got older they "forgot" their childhood DreamWorld and it fell into disarray. Now as an adult you've been tossed back into your old childhood escape and that's why you're so magical and can do amazing things in the valley. Its just my theory but other characters dialogue seems to back it up. It's just funny they never tell the name of the "old ruler" but mysteriously all of the old rulers tools seem to be attracted to your character and no one else lol.

I actually finally bought a Switch about a week before DV came out. I bought a physical copy of AC with my Switch. I couldn't get into it. I went and bought Cozy Grove, addicted to that then DV came out. I hope later I'll get into AC or I'll just sell my copy of the game
I am stuck on my Moana quest apparently a new memory popped up and I can't find it idk if it's a glitch or not but I can't find it
The only bug i've encountered is some weird camera stuff. That might just be me since i'm using a pro controller on the PC. Love this game and wish i could play it on my switch too when i don't want to be tethered to my PC. Maybe i will when it's free to play. I don't want to pay for Switch bugs.
I also have that. It zooms in for a second or goes to a different place and then goes back to your character like nothing happened. Lol. Honestly makes me dizzy sometimes.

I got the ultimate pack on switch the game goes out maybe three times but it happens for me like every 5 hours or so
It still won't let me harvest my crops on the switch. It plays great on my PS5 though. It crashed once on the ps5 that was it. I'm loving this game way more than animal crossing already.

The only thing from ACNH i miss, is having Lily 💔 the rest of this game makes up for it though.

I tried to play New Horizons, but just couldn't get into it. This was during the time everyone around me was playing the game during the height of its popularity. Dreamlight Valley, however, has really captured my attention and time since its release. In addition to its Disney theme - which I love being a Disney fan - the game is just so much fun to play. I think it could very well surpass Animal Crossing for me already with the base game Gameloft has created. It also has endless expansion opportunities with Disney's numerous properties. I haven't been into a game this much since Elden Ring. With my waning interest in gaming altogether, it's nice to have something that I can really enjoy. How can you not be happy with Wall-E following you around? ♥️
I've had a couple of bugs. usually reloading the game fixes it though. nothing crazy. I'm on the pc version.
On playstation. My right leg would skrink when running then go back to normal when I stopped. To fix problem go back to main menu then start again.
Was wondering if anyone knew if it's a gotta catch em all kinda deal or you can only have a certain amount of characters like AC

I use to watch your videos on animal crossing. Left some months ago. Tried to go back, but lost interest. It helped my husband and myself through shut downs from the pandemic. Finding this game more challenging.
This game is making me want to buy new controllers. I’ve had the patience to not buy them with my left controller occasionally scrolling sideways, but I can’t decorate!
I'm so torn what to play this on. I'd prefer PS5 but with it being based on real time, and me working full time, if I got it on switch I could at least play a little during my lunch hour. I just don't know 😣

Do you think they'll bring in Harry Potter / Star Wars / Marvel? Also does anyone know what the up arrows over the tool you selected mean? I'm playing on the Steam Deck and it says to click on the R Joystick but when i do that it just centers the camera? Just wondered if anyone had figured that out. Ohh and i found out that if you feed the squirrels or rabbits, turtles etc you get them in your critter collection in the wardrobe tab :)

While the game doesn't look bad, it's literally not even comparable to Animal Crossing.
What an awful bait title.
No way i am making it to my 90s either I have nearly died so many times and not because I am reckless or anything but because of my health. I frequently get infections and four times I had kidney infections not get properly or quickly treated (awful health system) and it spread into my blood stream causing sepsis which is very dangerous and kills around half a million people a year yet its not well known for some reason. My kidney was left so damaged with so many problems it was killing me they had to remove it but now I need more major surgery because my stupid bladder and i am just over it.
The outfit is getting worse, or better 🙈
