Ütü
These children have more discipline than many adults that I see.
Hai!
Agreed
That's Japanese culture for you.
They rushing to say thanks to the Sensei was heartmelting.
I’d love to help these kids with karate 🥋
Heh. The sensei is sitting between them and the sweet treat.
The kid saying she needs to correct her attacks in Kumite melted my heart, so cute!
When people (kids) think of karate as a way of life, they practice it differently. It becomes a different motivation, and not just to learn self-defense techniques or to obtain a ranking belt. I've seen kids who go to the dojo because their parents want them to be there. I've seen kids who show no courtesy or respect to others. Karate is part of a culture that should be cultivated long before one sets foot in a dojo.
The most interesting part of the video is the cleaning of the dojo afterwards. It shows a high level of respect to the learning institution as a whole.
So nice to see these kids practice with a lot of spirit in them.
the respect that these kids have, its a pleasure to see it, already has more respect than western countries tbh
also i admire those high ranked belts that help the others
This is so good. I really love how good the teacher is with the students. Very uplifting to hear his words of encouragements to the children.
As wholesome and beautiful as the student were, the comments are just as good. I hope they read them.
I like how the teacher make that kid have more confidence in himself. I mean, in my country people always make others insecure so they can control them easier
I've experienced that toxicity in Kendo and iaido classes, tutors putting down others, being hyper-critical and excluding, never supportive.
The discipline, respect and ability of the children is awesome.
Their sparring was surprisingly good. Their feints were off the charts. I was surprised during kata their stances weren't as good.
Excellent timing from such young children. Very impressive discipline. Cleaning the dojo after also impressed me. Thank you for making this video.
My 2 sons are studying Karate and I use all of your and Jesse's videos to inspire them to reach higher, to be brave and strong; mentally and physically.
We live in Western Europe (moved away from my home country 13 years ago) and our Dojos are so different, not as disciplined or respectful as in Japan. I am Latvian and I was raised with similar discipline and raised my kids with the same respect as I was taught.
I am very proud of my children being successful, having red belt and a display of their trophies. Every time I see anyone's children excel in karate it makes me soooooooo sooooo proud and my heart just melts.
Thank you, you are supporting my children without knowing that. I am beyond grateful to you.
They are the world's cutest killers! I live in Korea, some kids are very good at tae kwon do, but overall the intensity and precision of this group seemed really exceptional.
Love the coach’s enthusiasm and seriousness. It’s conveyed to the kids.
LOVE your video, this video not only showing the beauty of " karate" but how amazing Japanese culture. I really amazed with the teacher relationship with his student, Their Spirit, Manner ,Discipline totally informative and educational to watch.
The goal for each training is so cool. I used to do something similar as a teen by myself. I had a training diary where I'd write down after every lesson what we did and also what criticism I got. Before the next lesson, I'd re-read it and remember those points for the lesson
My father was stationed in Yokosuka, in the Kangawa Prefecture in the mid 1980's until the early 2000's. He was with the US Naval Forces there in Yokosuka. He was a Judoka in the US during the 1960's before he joined the Navy.
My family was blessed to be able to grow up on the Navy base during this time. In 1988, my mother finally allowed me to study Kyokushin Karate at the Seishin Juku Dojo there in Yokosuka. Takashima Sensei trained me in a dojo & class very similar to this dojo in the video. I eventually earned my shodan & travelled to many parts of the Kanazawa Prefecture competing in many tournaments over the years.
This video brought up so many memories for me. I miss Japan & my old dojo.
Now, as a Rokudan Kyoshi in Shito Ryu, I run my own Karate dojo in Tennessee.
Domo Arigato Gozaimasu, Nagano Sensei for creating this excellent video. I love watching all your videos.
Why did you switch to Shito Ryu? Do you prefer Shito ryu?
Wow, the number of kids with black belts practicing is awesome. Definitely some exceptional and focused young karate-ka there.
These kids are awesome, and I like the way they all take part in cleaning the dojo and the core values they train by also.. I think these type of things need to be implemented in every karate dojo here in the USA.
Such high level sparring… I WANNA BE AS GOOD AS THE 10 year olf
Everything was Amazing! The kids attitude, the coaching instruction, how everyone worked the katas with each other, sparring, how the coach interacted with he students while they were sparring and gave them feedback! Great Class!
This is quite informative as is educational. Thank you Yusuke for sharing!
It's always a joy to see Kids training, and having fun!!!
Everyone is well disciplined and focused! Those kids looks like professionals! Inspiring!
I love that the students help clean up and lock up after class. That's something all students should take pride in doing at the dojo/dojang.
When their kumite started my mind just went "Woah!". Their sparring is incredibly good!
This is the exact way I was trained
I love their club. I was pumped to hear them chanting we can do it. So encouraging. I study Wado Ryu, and it was cool to see Japanese training!
I love these students' determination to get better
Your videos are getting better and better. Really great stuff.
very wholesome training method and mindset indeed. and seeing those energetic kids really makes me miss the practice session I had in my first dojo.. and that discipline.. wow.. I really wish the people in my country can imitate them even a little bit.
Wow!!! this was very awesome> i enjoyed it. Excellent video. all the kids are very focused.
Awesome video Yuske.
Great video. I loved their practice.
Thanks for sharing this awsome video
Love the Japanese arts. Been doing for 28yrs now and every day is new adventure in learning. Still I have much to learn
Awesome training
Some of them have an absolute excellent technique. Some others excellent Ma Ai and timing. Very impressive!
I like their sparring practice. They must use the techniques taught that day. I learned a lot of new tips I can use for my training! Great video!!
Awsome video! This school and students are excellent martial artists! 🥋💪
This was really good to watch. These kids are so well disciplined. I help out with training the kids at my dojo and I wish some were that well behaved haha (I jest of course, they all work hard) it was nice to see a different style as I train Shotokan, the very subtle differences they have is great to see.
Amazing dojo.🙏🙏
This was excellent!
Really cool insight thank you
I love their dojo kun! 💯
Thank you for sharing wadoryu Dojo ❤
Loved this, oss
Love this.. brings back so many memories. I was Karate mad as a teen..(still am, but now I’m old lol)
It was impressive! Seems to me they have a high performance and it looks impressive on their little bodies. I got emotional by watching this vídeo.
Good to see that you visited a Wado dojo. Those kids are sharp and disciplined. Very nice to see.
Excellent...Very Cool
Amazing.
Wow. Amazing 😍
You should do more of these
Most adults can learn a lot from these kids.
Excellent! We practice the same way at the Goju Ryu dojo where I practice.
GREAT VIDEO !
Cool work sir 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The practice of Mokuso reminds me of a particular time in 1963/4 at the end of a Judo session at the Budokwai in London that on this occasion was presided over by Sensei Kisaburo Watanabe and Sensei Trevor Leggett. The fact that the highly regarded teacher Trevor Leggett was present no doubt accounted for why this meditation period continued for so long. It must easily have lasted for at least fifteen to twenty minutes, possibly longer. After all the stressful activity we had just undergone that evening, I personally found the practice most valuable in settling the mind into a state where little or no thought processes were in evidence. Speaking for myself, I was determined not to move an inch while I knelt there with eyes closed and didn't do so at all, even though I could hear an occasional shuffling in the ranks accompanied by the odd cracking sound of one or two knees somewhere to my right. Sadly, we never ended a session this way again which I was most disappointed about. In those days, the spiritual aspect of martial arts was not generally understood by the majority of people in the West.
I can appreciate this structure. If I lived near there I would enroll my daughter asap!
They're really good
The most different thing for me was the cleaning at the end, I think it's very rooted in Japanese culture, we don't have that in my country. Also, the dojo-kun was pretty different from what I'm used to. This made me so nostalgic, I really want to get back to training, but I don't dare until I get the second dose of the vaccine.
We’ve been so lucky here to have the vaccine available, and everyone in the dojo who is over 12 is vaccinated... we’ve been off Zoom and back in person (all masked and with all the doors open) for a couple of months. I’m so grateful to be back and I appreciate karate even more now than before. Best wishes to you all from El Cerrito, California 🥋
Very nice Video of Karate
So good
Excellent - great example for all western dojo's.
Sensei, the atmosphere in their dojo is conducive to holistic improvement. Much like in our Shotokan dojos here.
There very well trained impressive
Greetings karate from Indonesia we learned a lot for this
That's the real Martial Spirit , Kids Helping Clean the Dojo
Exactly the same her in our dojo.
Ooooh, I love how the kids have the protective gear including helmets.
Excellent 👍🏿
TAIGIDO is the best DOJO in Chiba🔥🔥
Daichi sensei always teaching new Kumite techniques and interesting movements..
So happy to being a part of TAIGIDO family💪🏽🥋 OSS
Hi I come from a Dojo where white to orange belts trains together and green to reds trains together and purple to Blacks train together, here in the video all are together I like that, you can learn from everybody...
Nice I like how you got the coaches tips aha
Sehr schön. Die sind alle Diszipliniert.
Cool!🤼
Domo Arigato!
That was fascinating. Being a westerner I have a very specific (western) understanding of how karate is being taught.
Nice video bro! I like how you are running a CZcams channel while going to college… very difficult. You must be very busy lol. Good job 👏😊
Wow!!!😮In Japan🇯🇵 I want practice in there but I'm from Cambodia🇰🇭 I just can do kata form 1
Nkana and Mumbwa shotokan karate club Zambia wishing you well,
We are very much motivated with the kata and kumite
Very interesting. I have been practicing since childhood in hapkido. My way and classes I teach are very similar to this! More than I would have expected.
I love to see the disciple in martial arts...body and mind
Very nice.. Oss!!
Perfect vídeo, greetings from wado kai Brasil!
Very nice Video from behind the scenes, and a very good Level These kids have ,very inspiring thx for that ...ossu Frank's
I have learnt kata 1 to 15
I have played national in my country 2 times
Our trainer is very nice to us
Wow sana all
i moved to japan recently and have the luck of living 1km from the honbu dojo of Wado-Ryu. It's been a wonderful place to continue my journey with karate.
After seeing the video, I imagined it will be so amazing if you go to a Taekwondo Dojang and look it will be fun to see ❤️🔥
Wow!! I have never seen a katate practice before. It's almost exactly like Kendo practice! Even the start of class from Seiza to mokuso to Senseigata Rei!
Lol my Sensei is always yelling at me, Maai maai no zanshin! Even watching the waza geiko was so kool!
Kool video!!!
Good video! Arigato!
beautiful school! all these kids are very talented! we're lucky to get a white belt who can walk in a straight line.
I love seeing how the Japanese Children behave very much like our American Children in our Karate Dojo. Some things are just universally human.
I'm from Italy and we practice very similar in my dojo, only few things in kata change. :)
Ahh...reminds me of my own childhood training...some of you have never had to kneel & stretch on wooden floors before and it shows ;)
I joined Karate bcoz I wanted to defend myself better. But my sensei Chhetri sir made me realise Karate and any form of martial arts is first to connect with ur inner self and find urself. I am a better person now bcz of it. Arigato...
Your videos are all good but this is the best. Please give us a video on Bujinkan.
