Can't seem to locate the main menu ui edit or classic Miss Marvel. Everything else are on Gamebanana and Nexus mods except those. Nexus does have an individual classic Carol mod but it's her flight suit and not her 80s leotard with mask.
Would you happen to have these? Can you link me to them? Would really appreciate it.
I looked at the discord and it sounds like the classic Ms Marvel skin may have been an old skin for Phoenix. Several people were asking for it, but no one seemed to have a link. Maybe someone will rip it from MVCi at some point?

As you can see there she's using Carol-like MvCI moves and not Phoenix. I learned how to edit the individual files a little bit better, so I tried to find the filename in the video called Palette swap v.2fv3 but unfortunately Nexus mods didn't even have it anymore in their archives.
Feels like she'd been released at some point, I could've sworn I saw a tournament video of someone using her? One thing is certain she exists. Now whether that means someone has her and decided not to release her or she was apart of that specific palette swap pack and was later taken out is beyond me.
I'll continue my hunt for her classic palette swap and the menu mod. If they exist anymore on the internet.

I wish those mods are available for the multiple consoles.
Console would have to be modded first. Luckily a low end gaming PC is about the price of a console if you build it
that means XBSX doesn't get it. grrrr.
Thank you for the tutorial, but I have a problem. The only files that weren’t rar were the sakura mod and the pallet swap. How do I put rar files? I have stuff like the more colors and carnage/venom mod

It's from UMVC3. It's the music that plays when you're looking at the Gallery ... it may pop up somewhere else in another menu, but that's where I remember it from.
and how to created characters?

There are a few custom stages. I think they were up on gamebanana
good explanation. I still have troubles like the game shutting down with bugs.....may it be for the game isn´t original ?
Arcade mode is still buggy and crashes

At this moment, not that I’m aware of. I’ll look into it. That’s a big feature I want, also. I’ll provide an update if/when we’re able to do that.

can you play online with a friend if you have mods installed?
generally, yeah. You just can't pick the same character (same with offline). Like if you pick cyclops, and they pick C Viper ... their C Viper will behave like Cyclops.
Unless that's been worked around recently. A new mod pack literally came out today. I downloaded it, but haven't messed with anything. I do think they've fixed arcade mode for most mods.

How do I backup my umvc3 folder?
When you go to the files the first time, just copy the main UMVC3 folder and all the sub folders to anywhere else. If anything goes wrong, just use that backup to paste and overwrite the modded folder.
Does the game have to be original to make these mods?
Not necessarily. You can install different mods from different sources and pile on all kinds of stuff. Just make sure they don’t conflict by requiring the same character slot or file location.
I do keep an untouched version backed up, though. I’ve tried installing too much and broke things a few times. Best to start from scratch if that happens.

Let me take a look into it. I have a Steam Deck now, but I haven't tried the mods on it yet.
I downloaded the hotfix and added dinput8.dll and CloneEngine.asi in the same folder as dinput8.dll. It is located inside my modified native pcx64 folder.
I also entered this in UMVC 3 properties> launch options so the game can read the dinput8.dll to get the custom slots working:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dinput8.dll,CloneEngine.asi=n,b" %command%

As long as you have it setup as a steam library folder. I have an external USB HDD that has some of my steam library, including UMVC3, and can confirm it works.

I think the problem is that the game is windows-only. You could probably mod it following the same instructions on Mac … as long as you have a reliable way to play it. Maybe with Wine? I just dual boot into windows to play it

I would assume it still works. As long as you know how to get to the right folders

I don't think he's a standalone mod. He's mixed in with the "UMVC3 EX" pack. Though, I think most of the modders have stopped using gamebanana ... I think most have migrated over to Nexus Mods. Here's the link to the current EX pack with Dante: www.nexusmods.com/ultimatemarvelvscapcom3/mods/12

Make sure all the folder paths are right. I ran into that with the way some of the different mods were extracted
can these be used online?
They can, but not with random players. You need a friend with the same mods installed. Parsec or Steam remote play may be the easiest method.

Be sure to use WinRAR or something to extract the files from the .rar
