Im Jahre 1954 und später war es noch gute WSK-Traditon, kleine Opern und Singspiele in Kostümen aufzuführen. Dazu gehörten z.B. Mozarts " Bastien und Bastienne", Rossinis "Signor Bruschino", Haydns "Apotheker" und "La Canterina", Schenks "Dorfbarbier" und last not least "G´schichten aus Alt-Wien" nach Melodien von Wiener Komponisten wie z.B. Johann Strauss ! Für die Buben war es auch kein Problem, "Damenrollen" zu spielen. Vor Jahren das Gästebuch der WSK: " Die Buben wollen heute keine Händchen mehr halten !" Wirklich nicht ?

The whole movie now is on DVD available but in German language only and without subtitles. Amazon.de for example offers the DVD for 10 €.
In the meantime available at Amazon.com with "very few subtitles" (a reviewer). Necer mind ! .

Dear owners of the copyright, if you want that I also should delete my own video with the part of the movie, write a message to my channel please. I shall delete my video then immediately ! I think that my video is advertisement for the DVD (?). .

I am living in America and I love German movies. I love them whether they are subtitled or not. It takes time to learn German even though many words of German are exactly like English. I am talking hand, finger, house, and mouse. German has the many of the same equivalents (even if some are spelled differently) I also approve of having more boys the world over become Vienna Choir Boys. It gives them a good education in German, music and can only be good in some tiny way to the rest of the world. Especially once they become adults.
Also, German and Austrian values get spread the world over. And that is good for the rest of the world.

Jack, well discovered that English is a language in the Germanic language family.
Much is simply same or similar, because those people have migrated in the last millennia:
to Dutch
to Saxony (England)
to Denmark
to Sweden
to Norway
Later, these people have migrated to America.
Britisch people were not any longer able to pronounce the difficult "ch" sound in
eight (acht),
night (nacht),
might (macht)
might (möchte, würde)
light (Licht)
so, they changed the pronunciation simply, but still wrote the old way they had pronounce before.
light was pronounced by the [i] sound before not '[ai] sound
hence, "I" is the [i] in 'ich' (=me), not [AI]
what has happened with the [ch].
We have already learned [ch] was to heavy for them, so the simply dropped it...
I = ich
i --> ai
