This video format is amazing, btw. Specially the mid-game tips on the screen, I don't think I've ever seen anybody else do that (except Hi-Fight, but that has a different purpose). I generally prefer uncut gameplay, but that's a great way of taking advantage of the cuts.

Glad I’m not the only one really liking shield! Sure it’s another option to worry about when you’re pressuring someone, but their options are still limited to certain follow ups that you can try to punish. Makes things very interactive, fast, and most importantly FUN to me 👍

I really like the text you add in to explain how some interactions played out, i just think they should be a tiny bit smaller so they dont take up as much of the screen
yeah, often times I do it to end very long combos to avoid them possibly being able to tech out of the combo due to hit stun decay and sometimes I do it because the oki is better than doing BCBC because you lose your air actions and cant maintain pressure after the air throw
@@SalsaDeGranada Yeah idk if you can act out of it faster or not. You probably can as that's common in fighting games, but you definitely can't block after doing an air action when you touch the ground.
Regarding the unblockable set-up which you mention must be shielded at 9:48, back in MBAACC, H-Roa had a very similar tech using this very same super where he would air throw the opponent while they were shielding. Is that still feasible here, or do the options out of shield make it too risky?
Haven’t tested, but that’s def worth looking into. I assume if the lightning hits as a perfect meaty you can’t throw them but im not sure. Plus you’d have to guess correctly on which direction they tech to even be able to grab them
A lot of grounded specials actually can’t be air blocked either. Typically if they’re not a projectile like Akiha’s pinwheel, Vlov projectiles, or Ciel/Noel daggers you cannot air block them either.
Zato & Testament both used to be different. Zato used to even laugh manically in the original Guilty Gear until he died & lost his emotions. Either way, I meant that they’re all pretty boys.

A correction, I think, you actually have less landing recovery if you whiff an air move. It seems like it shouldn't be that way, but it is.
But you can trip guard people in this game, so that cant be right unless I'm misunderstanding you?
