This is definitely a great scene that Scott came up with.
At the risk of incurring a sea of angry comments claiming otherwise, I'd argue this scene was very much needed for the whole universe. So much of the franchise has been grim-dark. A nice moment of wholesomeness like this is a welcome change of pace even if it was only a few minutes long.
@@Boskov01 Agreed! Seeing the true "kid" side of the children's souls was never touched in, iirc. This was definitely a breath of fresh air when seen in the theatres, and I loved every minute of the movie! It conflicts whose side to be on, as another comment had said, since you want Abby to be safe, but also want the children to just be kids again, despite the true puppet pulling the strings of their every move (bad pun kinda intended lol)
I love it! A nice break from the otherwise sad/dark/sinister over all theme. I like when horror series do this.
1:11 How come nobody points out Foxy’s reaction when Bonnie falls over. I know Bonnie’s reaction was unexpected and funny, but that look on Foxy’s face when he’s just staring at him was priceless. That was what caused me to burst out laughing in the middle of the movie theatre.

People may be questioning why Vanessa chooses to play along here instead of discouraging it, but you have to understand, she knows these animatronics are just kids that want to have fun here for a change. Plus, she probably felt like she had to play along, not just to keep the band from getting angry, but to also help dissuade Mike from thinking that they’re dangerous, as per her father’s directive. She only blew up at Mike at the end there because she learned that he was trying to get information out of the kids and that he was putting his sister in danger to do so.
Like, I know people criticize Vanessa’s character a lot, but her actions really aren’t that inexplicable.
I admit she was trying to help, though when she said she tried to warn him, my literally first thought was
‘You told me kids died and threatened to shoot me’
Though again, I do see her point. Growing up with a murderer as a father must have been tough.
Dunno, I don’t see how building forts is more important than figuring out how to free the souls and stop the murderous animatronics.
The scene warms my heart to know the animatronics have a soft and playful side.
And the scene really reminds u that their just kids. Being with Abby gave them a chance to be children again 🥺😭❤️

Actually, William manipulated the souls into luring Abby there, so he could kill her and Micheal and extract more remnant. In the end of the Movie It's implied she forgave the souls and She's Still Friends with Cassidy (blonde boy)
Okay I’m just gonna say, I think this scene is placed in an appropriate spot in the film. Because think about it, this taking place after the animatronics killed the robbers makes you feel a bit more unsettled and unsure about their true nature, whereas if this fort scene happened first, then we wouldn’t get the same whiplash effect as we do here, it would just feel too predictable. This reiterates that these animatronics are just the pour souls of children, and it honestly makes us look back on the scenes before and feel bad for them, since they don’t really know what they’re doing.
And this scene also makes the audience on the animatronics side. So when the ghost kids want Abby, it makes the mike feel betrayed

I really like how the main characters take the time to get to know the animatronics and actually befriend them, it makes you feel bad about the fight they have later in the movie. I hope they find a way to rekindle this friendship in the sequel.

This scene really sells further that those big machines are children at heart and that something was just off about Vanessa. After all, she clearly was not happy about Abby being there but was willing to keep up appearances for Abby only expressing this once there were far out of sight of Abby. She also showed she knew more about the animatronics than she let on and was refusing to talk. Vanessa was correct in saying that Mike was obsessing over doing the impossible and needed to drop it. After Abby got hurt, Vanessa acknowledged that while she couldn't stop Mike's obsesson over the past, she made it clear that she was not going to stand by while he endangered his sister because of it. Powerful words there.
This Movie should've made almost a billion dollars.

It says on Google he it’s the most aggressive out of all the aminatronics but that doesn’t change how he’s my favourite aminatronic!
Looking back, this scene was cute, funny, and dark at the same time. It was cute and funny that the animatronics acting like kids, but it was dark because the more you think of it, the probably the first time they have felt happy in years, after the fear they all felt.
Also dark because they were trying to earn abbys trust so they could later stuff her in a suit and make her like them, like vanessa said
And the fact they are kids controlling them after their murder, they just wanted a friend.

I guess I understand why people don’t like this scene because they don’t think it belongs in a movie like this, but I honestly think they’re looking at the movie all wrong.

I was smiling the entire time when I saw this at the cinema; it was so cute. I wonder if the filmmakers took some inspiration from all those silly SFM animations scattered all over CZcams...
Also, this scene alone made me wish they could've made use of these animatronic characters even more, especially at the very ending.
Still, I'm glad we got ourselves the *FNAF Movie.*

This scene is my favourite bit in the film I think the relationship of mike, Vanessa and Abby is really strong

Fun fact: initially Bonnie and Foxy weren't standing on chairs during the scene where Bonnie falls over, but were standing on Freddy and Chica. Bonnie's suit actor even shared a photo of the original scene on his Instagram. This was likely changed so the scene wouldn't be too silly but if you look closely at 1:15 on the left bottom corner, you can somewhat makeout Freddy's body where Bonnie would have fallen from.

Vanessa: “they’re not on control mode. So, I think we could use the tables for the fort.”
Would’ve been better because it would foreshadow that they were being controlled when they tried to kill Mike and Abby.
