    Great video thanks ! Do you know how to see your digital speed on the dash screen ? I've been looking for it on my m135 of 2016 but couldn't find it..
    Thanks in advance !

    Hi James, do you know if these features transfer over to the LCI2 with the new dash? Especially that secret menu?

    Is there a way to adjust the climate control to a set temperature using only one button. At the moment I have to set them individually for the driver and passenger. Would be useful if you could just use one roller to control both...

    Yeah I think there should be a "cold start" screen readily available, showing you coolant, oil, tyre temps and when it's ok to boot it👍 Also an option to change the exhaust valve in each mode would be great. I know it's pre-set opening more an more from eco to sport+, but I'd like to have the option to have it full open (once warm up completed) in comfort, or probably sport.
    My understanding it that the only way to open the exhaust valve fully is to turn DSC off by holding the button (which defaults power train settings to 'comfort'?
    If someone could clarify this and clear things up I'd appreciate that, looking at getting one soon.
    Edit: Also what's the difference between ESC/DSC/Run DMC/Eazy E/traction control?😂 For example sport+ turns something off but keeps the other or something? I have no idea. I've got an e90 3 series, I just hold the TC button to turn everything off when having fun in the snow👍

    Can you activate the digital speed display permantly with that as i noticed you only seem to have that option on the upgraded cluster dash?

    For the second one, the sensor is the strip underneath the buttons I think :) IMO number 3 is by far the most useful - had it displayed every drive on my F82 - as vital to know if your tyres are properly up to temp before driving hard, especially when esc off.

      Ahhh good to know thanks😁 yep that’s true it’s really handy to know how warm tyres are like you said when esc is off😅🙌🏻

    If you press and hold the numbers it assigns that screen on the idrive to the button. So placing your finger over the top serves the purpose of seeing which screen you’ve assigned it to 👍

      To keep the indicators on you have to code them in with Carly app, bimmer tech etc 😁

    Very true at the end. The oil temp should’ve been on the standard instrument cluster instead of taking a couple of mins to see it to then turn the ignition off so the menu can go away 🙄

    • @jamesr50
      @jamesr50  Před 3 lety +1

      With my last car I always used it it’s a shame it should have been on the idrive like the sports display
