Thank you, Shawn, for this story! Shared with the SDSU Marching Aztecs group. Band is family. All of us. Young and old. We all feel this.
Sounds like a plot for one of the books of a children’s book series. The Mystery of the Missing Band Instruments
😂😂😂
Someone should have told you that that's a heavily drug infested area. I'm so sorry.
You had that experience visiting san diego.
Chula vista is worst pace to live in San Diego. People used to proud of living in Chula Vista.
The police budget is the highest ever yet we get this outcome
My instrument was stolen 😢 it was a really sad day for all of us🥺💔
the trombone wha-wha-whaaaaa sound right now would be sooo ironic lol
I bet the band called" the accidentals" feel your pain.Criminals took their equipment trailer off the lot at a laquinta in Phoenix with $70K worth of gear .....and somehow they screwed up sending in a payment to their insurance company while they were on the road touring and it was a total loss that the insurance company wouldn't cover, since they hadn't paid their most recent premium.

That sucks, but the kids learned a valuable lesson - you don't leave your instruments unattended - much less in a van overnight.
It was more of a moving van. You wouldn't be able to or expect to take all the furniture being moved out of one of them on a nightly basis.
Way to blame the victim. It's this exact thought process that stifles any reasonable change.
@@TrevHolland Not blaming the victim - I have empathy for these kids, and their teachers. Doesn't change the fact that you don't leave valuable instruments in a a van - or truck - unattended overnight.
Thanks for the crack funds
