that one solitary research building triggered me. also i think you really underestimate aramsham and overestimate the usefulness of conscripts. 5 ranged conscripts and 5+ sardaukar are in my opinion a great mix. not taking aramsham just makes it harder to get more sardaukar. i gladly nerf my 5 ranged conscripts for one more sardaukar. melee conscripts are useless and you should always avoid making them. also i think you should have mentioned how extremely powerful, water to solari or placrete to solari village bonuses are, if they are next to your main you can stack that bonus 4 times (sometimes 5 if its between two bonuses), with the investment office. i liked your video and your style of presenting specially, thanks.
Interesting take! I completely agree on your suggested mix of Sardaukar and ranged units for the late game. Until then I do think the melee conscripts have somewhat of a role to play@@weedling3552
I am new to spice wars, however NOT new to the Dune games. I play some “serious” Dune 2, Dune 2000, and Dune Emperor. Beat everything on hard across the board. Find myself struggling on easy mode so far, because the tutorial didn’t teach much at all🤣. The Emperor Faction has been my favorite, in the books and the games, and I find him hard to use because I am not used to the political, and economic advanced features. This video helps a lot with trying to understand how to play 🤘
I love the emperor faction. Some are potentially the most broken strategies if you pull them off. Te way your buildings and bonuses can compound on each other is insane but can also prove difficult to keep straight.
After playing around with Aramsham, I actually prefer him as a second councilor as it allows you to have more firepower even when taking the negative into consideration, you can have 4 conscripts for roughly the same cost as 3 without Aramsham, are your conscripts weaker? on a per-unit basis yes but you can also field more of them with Aramsham, 3 normal melee conscripts will have 18 strength whereas for the Aramsham conscripts you'd have 4 with 17 strength. His original version which affected all of your military units really didn't do much cause all it did was reduce cost by 30% which is basically nothing (would have been alot stronger if it lowered upkeep or command cost) and it weakened them by 30% but now that he only affects the conscripts and also affects both upkeep and command cost I find he helps ward off any early/mid game aggression much more reliably than Fenring. (although that could just be the AI playing with my head to think less of Fenring)
This helped so much. Thank you. I found them a cool faction but struggled to understand them. I played a match with ai after this and did so much better. Can't wait to try it on my friends.
Isn't the research center a statecraft building? How is counting as an economy one in your district? Also amazing content, looking forward fot the rest of the updated guides.
What would you recommend fir timed matches in conquest. Have found it incredibly hard to overwhelm the base, as you said yourself... A defensive victory is preferred in house corrino.

Princess Irulan was nerfed to crap. Being only able to use Development Investment on a truce makes it worthless. They need to redesign her power. Same goes with the Captain. I hope they balance them in the next patch.
@@voncurland Either Atreides or Fremen probably, mostly because I find them the most consistent. That said, they are close enough for personal skill & preference to do the tric in most cases!

Yea not sure how these two are supposed to compete with the others at the moment, but maybe they will rebalance them again at some point.
