At the end of the day, Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, we're all football fans. When it comes to things like this, we have to stick together and put away rivalries for more important things like justice

Your hard, grinding work has finally paid off; despite having faced serious adversity, you never gave up.
You people who kept the fight going are an example to us all, you are a beacon in the dark.
The fact it's taken so long is a national disgrace.
Let's hope justice can begin to be done, at last.

Well done you brave people for fighting for your loved ones. I was there that day as someone trying to help.I remember holding the hand of a mother whose relative was about to identify the body of her 16 year old son. Justice for the 96. Well done xxx

There should be consequences for Politicians and for the police written
into Law, whenever they deliberately lie to the Public! Or nothing will
    ever change for the good.

    Finally the truth is out.
As a football and Liverpool fan this is great news, but let's not forget the bigger picture. If this involved 96 people getting crushed at any other event the outcome would have been so much different. 96 people died that day and the police managed to cover it up for 27 years (probably would have been forever if not for the determination of the families).
THIS PUTS INTO QUESTION THE INTEGRITY OF THE WHOLE POLICE FORCE, surely if they were willing to cover each other's back on such a huge scale then this implies it is a regular occurrence.
How many people are falsely imprisoned or missing justice. All because our police force have forgotten they are meant to be here to protect the public and NOT the government, the corporations or themselves.
Without the lies I could have forgiven the mistakes made, but lying and accusing the dead for the tragedy was NOT a mistake it was a cool and calculated plan to cover their own backs.

Duckenfield's actions on the day at Hillsborough were the equivalent to those of assistant boatswain Mark Stanley who left the doors open on the MS Herald of Free Enterprise when it set sail from Zeebrugge (March 1987). The ship capsized and 193 people were killed. In their respective disasters Duckenfield and Stanley clearly had no direct intention to cause anybody any harm but their gross misconduct directly caused the catastrophes.
The coroner's inquest jury into the capsizing (concluded in just 7 MONTHS in October 1987) returned verdicts of unlawful killing. Following the verdict seven people involved at the company were charged with gross negligence, manslaughter, and the operating company P&O European Ferries (Dover) Ltd, was charged with corporate manslaughter.
The fact that it has taken 27 YEARS and the relentless energy of the families of the 96 to get to the same rightful place is truly a disgrace recognised by the whole nation. The expectation now will be charges similar to those levelled towards the individuals and institution at the ferry company can be brought to the fore and in the case of Hillsborough an additional charge of perverting the course of justice (that has created the unjustifiable man-made roadblock for all these years) must be raised.
I am not from Liverpool nor am I connected directly to any of those who suffered at Hillsborough. I was a schoolboy in Leeds when it happened. Now as a man in his 40s I am only interested to see justice finally done because its right and I do believe for the 96 to truly rest in peace the journey of justice, now with the correct foundation, must continue forward and be completed.
Congratulations to all that fought so hard and endured so much pain to reach the recent verdict, the final chapter is about to be written and soon your loved ones will finally be able to Rest In Peace.
When the final chapter of charges and court cases concludes find it within your hearts to forgive Duckenfield and those who conspired to deny you the truth all these years. Forgiveness will set you free, the dead I am sure would want that for the living.
