What level is this meant for? I am a complete beginner and I am having trouble with this. Its very fast...I threw in the subtitles but its a bunch of characters I have never seen before. Do you have any pointers for me? I want to understand what you are saying about Jack....I mean I am obviously getting the English and I did get the like part as "shi huan" sorry dont know pinyin lol Also, how do you spell "eat" in pinyin? How do you spell "but" in pinyin? And are you saying walks to Mcdonalds? If so how do you spell "walk" in pinyin? Also is "mei you" "doesn't want" or "doesn't have"? And also, how do you spell money in pinyin?
Hi there "I Heart Nihon". Thank you for your feedback. This is intended for beginners without any prior knowledge of Chinese. I have received similar comments from my non-Chinese speaking teacher friends. I am in the process of remake the 1st episode. Obviously, the Chinese character subtitle is not useful at this point. I am going to replace with English meanings for the key words i.e. those you had questions about. I also will provide pinyin to the key words like 'to have', 'to go to', 'don't have', 'money', etc. These videos are not intended for the viewers to achieve 100% understand of every word or phrase; but rather, about 80-85%+ where one understand what happens in the story. Over time, the important words/phrases will be repeated over many time in the subsequent videos and one would acquire those language naturally. Subscribe to my video channel and stay tuned. The revised version will come out by August 10, 2017.
Too bad, your video is focusing on the listening and not teaching the literacy. Me, good at speaking and writing in complicated Chinese word and phonics on Taiwan side, but still learning the China character and pronunciation in Roman system. It would be better to have the previous mention primary lessons. Your Mandarin is A that a lot of smoothen Asian claiming they are Chinese, but the literacy level and the common linguistic level equal grade 3. Hahaha... I wouldn't think them as Chinese, but know nothing Chinese Classic Literature- Journey to West. Hahaha.... Not even such Beijin accent. Hahaha.. Good Luck. Still learning China Chinese system. Hahaha
