Buckethead - Soothsayer - Bowbreaker (Electric Violin Cover)

- For those wondering what instrument I am playing, I am playing a 6-stringed electric violin for the entirety of the video. This specific instrument is called a @MarkWoodMusic1 Violins Viper violin. Not only does it have frets (which on violin, is an absolute blessing), but it is equipped with a unique strap-harness system that allows me to attach the violin directly to my body, which takes a huge amount of stress off of my fretting hand. All of this combined makes the Viper much easier to play than a normal violin. Plus, because it's electric, I get to plug it into some pretty snazzy pieces of gear to get some snazzy sounds.

This was awesome! A couple weeks ago I took my daughter to her first concert to see Buckethead in Madison, WI. Today we picked up a violin for her to start playing this year she’s in 4th grade. Naturally the first thing I searched was “ Buckethead Violin Cover” and we really enjoyed this thanks!

I'm old enough to be your dad, Ive been rocking Buckethead since I was in highschool when he was a "new" artist, and Ive yet to go through his massive library of tunes . (with jumpman first song I heard). You absolutely nailed this song ( I play guitar and bass/piano and drums, so I understand what this entails) , well done good sir, thank you for this amazing cover. Edit, subscribed, looking forward to your future endeavors and I wish you the best. I didn't realize how amazing an electric violin could be, total rock and roll. I just watched this for the 3rd time in a row to study it. Damn!

The wah pedal I used to record this was a Bad Horsie wah pedal. A very snazzy pedal for violin indeed.

What brand is that Violin?
The violins I play in all of my videos are fretted violins from the company Wood Violins (founded by violinist Mark Wood). They make a specific model called the Viper violin, which is the one I use in this video. The Viper is super fun and easy to play and I can’t imagine my life without it.
