That “this marriage is full of ultimatums, they’re all yours”, scene is one of my favourites when April is finally forced to face what she’d done.
Even though she messed up their marriage which she did admit to him and was fighting to fix the damage she made. She always had Jackson's back. When Maggie was questioning Jackson moral character regarding the research competition April shut that down really quick and set Maggie straight about who is Jackson Avery.. When Webber was attacking Jackson in the surgical gallery in front of all his colleagues and residents April shut him down too. However, when everyone was against April for temporarily stepping in for Meredith he kicked her down instead of having her back and shutting people down for attacking her moral character (season 13). So no, Jackson did not love her more than she loved him, because despite all their hardships April's loyalty towards Jackson never waivered. Her going to seek healing in a war zone never compromised her loyalty towards him, it got in the way of them working out their grief together but not her loyalty to him. You do not have to be in the same geographical location and proximity to demonstrate your loyalty to someone.
The truth is that all the ultimatums in their relationship were Jackson's, he just put the onus on her. Jackson is emotionally stunted because of his daddy abandonment issues, he even acknowledges this when he visits his father in episode 17x14.
Yeah. I was hoping that after the Montana episode, they would let Jackson grow from his abandonment issues, that he would learn to speak up the way he did in 17x14 but it seems like all they did to him was regress him to the pretty face with money that he used to be in like season 7. Except it was worse because he kept jumping from relationship to relationship whereas he only dated lexie before april. 13x16 was the episode where we should've seen him turn a new page but the showrunner made a terrible mistake. Fast forward 3 years later, Jesse decides to leave and the showrunner is forced to undo everything she did to Jackson and April. You could stitch the montana episode with 17x14 and you wouln't have missed much.
I hope they will be together again. Thanks for uploading.

I'm a japril fan but April fucked this relationship over and over and over again. Seeing Jackson hurt so many times by her starting with that pregnancy scare and her saying they didn't have to get married... That hurt. He was ready for her then. Again i love them but she was selfish and never put him 1st til he said it was over. I hope somehow she's grown and they bring her back and finally give japril a happy ending together
You've got to be kidding! Jackson was the problem. He gets hurt and immediately dumps his current girl and gets with another girl almost immediately, from Stephanie to Maggie to Vic to Jo and then goes to April to see if she will once again JUMP when he wants something from her and MOVE to Boston with him. It isn't hurtful that April was RELIEVED to not be pregnant and have to get married. Do you know how INSANE that sounds? If Jackson wanted to marry her regardless of a child, then he should've talked to her about getting married because he loves her, but instead he dumps her and jumps into a loveless relationship with Stephanie. He is emotionally immature. He sleeps around. He thinks she "left him or abandoned" him because she JOINED THE ARMY. Do you know how many people join the Army and it is not a cause for divorce. April can heal any damn way she sees fit. Would he have divorced her if she moved across the country to admit herself into some grief counseling center for a year? Ya, he probably would have, because he is THAT stunted emotionally. She didn't cheat. She didn't do anything but put herself in a combat zone and try to heal from losing a child, but Jackson is so stunted and emotionally screwed up by ACTUALLY being abandoned that he thinks what she did was abandonment. Some people are in the Army for years before they ever come back home. All Jackson does is sleep around, unable to be alone, and craps all over April because of his Daddy Issues. Oh and let us not forget he dumps her, screws other chicks while he is SUPPOSEDLY in LOVE with April, to ruining her wedding as she was moving on, she chooses JACKSON, and he ends up divorcing her and then, wait for it, expects APRIL to stay with him and NOT divorce him when she gets pregnant while Jackson was sleeping with April throughout the DIVORCE? That is messed up and deranged. April should've just taken that baby, quit the hospital, and moved on. She would've been a whole hell of a lot happier.
I agree with you however, she was unable to just pick up and leave with Harriet because Jackson and Catherine would have come at her full throttle to get full custody of Harriet if she attempted moving any where outside of Seattle. What I would’ve liked to see is for her not to have become pregnant with Harriet to begin with and instead become a world renowned kick butt surgeon. To show Jackson and everyone else at GSMH what she is capable of achieving and make them feel small.
The reason April is so strong and was able to take all the abuse she was subjected to was because she had dealt with that her whole life. The first people to bully her were her own sisters. I really like April’s character because despite all the garbage she had to put up with she didn’t hold a grudge. She forgave easily. She’s an amazing character, in my opinion the best one in GA.

These characters shouldnt have been together. Jackson was abusive and thought he say anything hurtful to hurt and demean April, he stopped short of violence. She should have run the other way fast and taken her child with her. Anyone in a toxic relationship should . I use to get quite upset watching them.
Jackson was abusive?! I'm not sure we watched the same show. She hurt him over and over again and he was tired of it and maybe he said hurtful things April was selfish and only ever saw her pain. And he still loves her even though she's moved on.
@@kgrimes842 Their main problem was miscommunication, they did not know how to open up to each other about their pain. Jackson thought that covering up and trying to be strong for her was the way to help her, but it didn't help at all. If he needed her in order for him to heal then he should have told her straight out during their talks while she was in the war zone. No one can read the other person's mind or true emotions unless the person communicates clearly what it is that they are feeling and situation he/she is going through. All Jackson ever told her was "you should be here" but he never told her " I need you here because I am not doing well". Instead during one of their calls he starts talking about a stained couch and needing to buy a new one. and when April tells him that she needs more time and Jackson asks her if she wants to talk about it, she says yes that she will call him later that night and he says he will be sleeping, really ??? That would have been the best time to open up and let her know that he needed her with him. They both had their share of responsibility in the demise of their marriage and they both hurt each other. She only moved on because he demonstrated that he did not want her anymore, even though she admitted to her mistake of leaving him to grieve alone and try to make amends when she returned. These two missed so many opportunities to really communicate and work through their problems but instead they pushed each other away.
