It's so great to see that Crusty enjoyed Drsgons Rising part 1, let's just hope that he doesn't get mad when is revealed in part 2 that blue Nadakhan with the help of white Kalmaar created the merge to resurrect the time twins and the only one who can stop this is Harumi, Lloyd's lovely couple.

I just really want to know how the departed realm works now. The departed realm is where you went when you died but if it’s now one with all the other realms, how does dying work now? And will the ninja ever explore the departed realm? The only time we’ve ever seen the departed realm was a brief glimpse of it during the The Kaiju Protocol. I’d love to see more of it

I agree, but I am also scared because you said the same thing about the Overlord's plan in Crystalized.
Honestly, I've been wanting something like the Merge for years now in Ninjago. With all the realms together, it has huge potential to make the series interesting again because there is so much more to explore. Even old places have new touches, like the Monastery. My only hope is that they don't end up reversing the Merge and instead find a way to balance the new Merged world

I will say, when the episode titles were leaked being that the first two were called the merge parts 1 and 2, I thought it was going there was going to be a two part introduction to the season with the actual merge itself. And we'd only get to the timeskip in episode 3. But I do think they made the right choice to have Arin explain the merge from his POV and only really show the merge and its immediate after effects in various character flashbacks (Lloyd, Nya, Sora, etc). Because otherwise new fans would immiedtly be put into the action with all of our 6 ninja saving the day, and it wouldnt really be that great as an introduction to new viewers.
However I do think that eventually we could get a 44 minute special like DOTD or the island called "The Merge" that shows it from the ninja's POV, because this is such an important moment in Ninjago history, arguably even the most important, that it'd be weird if we never got to see it happen in real time. We could get to see just how drastic the merge really was, And learn more about how each ninja got to the places they did, and what happened to Wu, (assuming he is revealed to be actually dead). And also how he knew the merge would happen, etc.
But so far loved how they handled the merge!
I agree that we should get something like that where old ninjago fans get to see the og ninjas experience of it happening. Something similar to golden hour but maybe longer like Day Of The Departed and The Island

i hope they explain the merge. and create a whole new set of ninjas that can be their students and its also a great way to kill of some of the old ninjas in battle. and the comedy in the season was honestly so funny. couldnt get enough of those guards. i lowkey hope they eventually go to a star wars typa vibe where its multi platetary things happening in the world. and when they introduce new villains then they can make them even more of a threat and over powered. honestly as long as they have ideas ninjago can go on forever

i feel like the merge is like the snap it could be reversible but not easily reversible
The merge was such a good idea it is the perfect way to build the world and we can’t forget that we finally have a new cast of characters it’s not six ninjas and the master fighting imperum it the green ninja finally becoming the master and training two new ninjas.

Theory: Lobbo is from Hero Factory. We don’t know if hero factory is a real, but there is a character in hero factory named Quaddle who has one eye, two arms, and levitates (sound familiar?). I think it would be both crazy and hilarious if it was revealed that Lobbo was from there.
My only real worry is that they won’t spend a good amount of time to flesh out each realm I know DR will contain multiple seasons but there is already signs of this in the first part.

Dude it also was nice seeing old realms that had been forgotten like the Realm of Madness and Cloud Kingdom. Probably the coolest idea for a spin-off series EVER.
Chima is somewhere, and aside from Ras, I don’t think it’s going to be a mayor thing, but it would be nice to see a raven or two in the market place in the Crossroads, those who know the ravens also know that they would LOVE to get their talons on trinkets from other realms
another amazing thing about the merge and dragons rising overall is that now you don't need to watch 11 years of content to properly know whats going on and whos who
the whole show is designed for new viewers while still having throwbacks and great moments for people who have seen those 11 years of content
Hope part 2 don't make same mistakes as crystalized part 2

When you watch Crystalized do you think you can make an analysis on Empress Beatrix and the art of rooting against an antagonist? I have some reasons but you’ll need to watch the season when part 2 comes out (unless you watched part 1 already). I must warn you though, I won’t hold back on my hate on the charatcer.
Merging worlds is generally a good idea if it is able to live up to its full potential, which the Star Vs. finale didn’t do, but Dragons Rising did
The problem with star is that Mewni and earth merging leaves more questions and instead of being the series finale it should of been setting up a new season or series which thankfully ninjago did and shows that the concept could work instead of just leaving it there
I hope we see the Departed Realm soon in part 2.

It’s a great idea and concept but I feel like it would be much more enjoyable to witness if it actually followed the og 6 ninja, since we’ve seen them go to other realms before and it would be kinda neat to finally see them all go to and explore all 16 together

The merge is a great idea but. At the same time it feels that with everything going on we as an audience should know what’s happening and why this has started because that adds stakes to everything because we understand the situation more and aren’t just confused by all this like they are. Which is why addressing to us what this is in the first few episodes feels important but they just want to wait. I understand it’s to build suspense but if we don’t know why the most important part of this whole story has even happened yet then it kinda feels weird watching everything with the question of: but why is all of this even happening? Still echoing in our minds the whole time

I deadass wrote up an idea for a merge thing before it was ever announced. So interesting to see how people have the same ideas. I called it a realm collision, but it had the same premise. Stuff merges. It's on my Instagram but I won't leave it here unless someone asks cause I ain't finna be weird

To be honest i am happy that they are adding new ninjas cuz yes the old ones are amazing but after 16 seasons you get tired of them so adding new ninjas with new personalities fels really new and fresh
My favourite part about this is that the world of lego chima has a chance coming back
Dont forget that the Merge also put Chima in the Ninjago Realm so therefore we could see characters like Laval and Eris team up with the Ninja or fight them. The Merge could also indirectly revive Chima as a whole again and let that IP gain traction again
Chima was always a realm, and also you said in the ninjago realm? ninjago is a realm iteslf and chima isn't inside of it, but if u watched season 5 ending you would see lloyd and morro fighting over a realm crystal and they go to chima and yh theres a crossover

I genuinely think that I know more about The Crossroads from 3 episodes than Ninjago City from the first 2 seasons. And the fact that there are some realms such as the Realm of Lee and the Realm of Administration that we've never seen or heard of makes this all the more interesting.

The one thing i hate about the merge is how the departed realm is also present which basically means no stakes because where do u go if u die ?
I don't think it's fair to make that assumption so quickly. We don't know what a merged Departed Realm looks like yet.

You DO realize they could use this to bring Chima back, right? I’d gladly accept either a crossover with the original series’s cast all grown up (with some Season 8 style glow ups) or a next-gen continuation with all-new heroes being mentored by the original cast (a la Dragons Rising).
Eh, I thought Dragons Rising part one was good but I have some questions.
So is Firstborn the mother of the source dragons as well as all the normal dragons? The nurse robot had ninjargen text on the screen, so did Wyldfyre come from Ninjago to be brought up in the first realm? Who sent her to the first realm? How are people teleported via the merge and how did the merge kill Master Wu? Is Lord Raz from Chima? Are people lost in the merge trapped in the ethereal divide? Where is Pixal? If merlopians live above the waves now, was merlopia destroyed? Who put Zane in the Imperium Monastery? Who constructed the Imperium Monastery? Why does the Monastery of Spinjitzu have 'new' dragon stables, when the old ones are still there? How does the portal under the monasteries connect the lands? If elemental powers were gifted from the FSM then how come Sora has a new one. If the departed realm is apart of the merge then is the FSM back, as he had some mastery over his the departed realm, as seen in "Endings".
Impirium als has Ninjargon. Firstborn is the oldest. The Wyldndnes is not the first realm. The old dragon stables were burned and blown up

I HOPE, simply hope that Ninjago does not ruin the concept of the 16 realms. This is the last line of Ninjago, if they manage to ruin the realms, Ninjago has absolutely nothing! No more quality content to milk like they’ve done before, no more banger seasons like Posession, Skybound, Crystalized, Seabound, Sons Of Garmadon, Or Master Of The Mountain. So far Imperium is good, however I hope the other realms don’t turn out to be all bad guys, we had 16 seasons of Ninjago, could we have 16 more season for each of these new realms, so 240 new seasons are possible. Simply hope.

I was about to write an essay
Ive been watching since the start of the show and honestly i cannot get myself into dragon rising. The tone and characters and world feel incredibly superficial and aimed towards small children. I especially dislike the dialogue.
Its has about the same maturity as pre and after the oni trilogy. Some dialouges were a bit wierd but it wasnt realy that bad.
@ZeroJump the dialogue has no subtlety. Its supposed show don't tell but in the first 5 minutes dragons rising explains everything by describing it. For example, before they go to imperium we know its bad because sora keeps reminding us. In the previous ninjago the characters dialogue would've been half the message, the other would've been ominous music and maybe sora staring in terror at the skyscrapers of imperium. It used more storytelling while this show blurts everything out which is why I think it's aimed at smaller children
My only problem with the merge is that the dark island and ninjago are no longer mirror version of each other
