I just wanna share my experience from PES 18 online divisions. Recently, I've been regularly playing that mode with RBL Leipzig. As per normal, I usually face players who pick PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona. But, the key to beat these players are usually patience and keeping the ball while looking out for openings when they press. I prefer to hold the ball and capitalising on their error(s) to score so most of the time my possession is about 65% per match with pretty decent shots on target and chances. In short - don't rush, dictate the tempo, and carve out chances from opponents' mistake =) +SpoonyPizzas have been stressing this from the get go
Love these tuturials with great examples Is attacking prowess the most important stat for a striker? I mean if they can't finish attacking prowess is useless but generally speaking most 80+ strikers have decent finishing.
Let's put it this way... my favourite striker is Morata - scores tons of goals purely because his attacking prowess is insane. That + Goal Poacher = easy goals. You can see with Suarez and Belotti how intelligent the runs they make and Morata is even better!
Interesting, I'd love to hear what would be your pes XI if you could reunite all the players that best suit your tactics. Morata is only 85 rated but yea, those smart runs are the difference between a good opportunity and nothing. Cruyff said it best in these two quotes: "Choose the best player for every position, and you’ll end up not with a strong XI, but with 11 strong 1’s." and " When you play a match, it is statistically proven that players actually have the ball 3 minutes on average … So, the most important thing is: what do you do during those 87 minutes when you do not have the ball. That is what determines wether you’re a good player or not"
That little pause trick is another thing I didn't know about dude, great work! Completely off topi but please could you let me know your recommended counter formation/s for 5-4-1 and 5-3-2? Much appreciated :)
Hi Spoony! Great tutorial as always! I just want to ask you an opinion which has nothing to do with this vid. But I rely on your great experience! I usually play with a 4-3-3 formation (with one DM and two CMs). How would you set your markers against a 4-4-2 formation? Would you man mark the opposite striker, the forward, both? What about the offensive laterals? Thank you!
Winterbringer Hi mate, 442 flat is a 433 killer. You can man mark both strikers, one man on each defender. If you're against an SS then you may want to assign your DM to mark him. Beware because if they have 2 CF and they play false 9, one of them will drop off... Dragging your defenders out of position. Hope this helps. Cheers
Hi Spoony! I followed your advice and it worked very well. The only defensive problem I'm still trying to work out is how to withstand the tiki-taka near the penalty box waiting for a chance to shoot. A friend of mine usually keeps passing the ball just outside the box until he finds a space. Then he usually passes the ball backwards and suddenly shoots. It's quite annoying...
Hey love your videos, but am having a problem, my players don't seem to move the ball or change the direction of their runs quickly enough to beat the AI and I tend to loose possession easily, secondly how do I get my players to run towards the ball when I pass to them and lastly how do I intercept the AI's pass, all on superstar/legend level, hope to get an answer.
casper 20 Not really but if you look at my super cancel video in my playlists on my channel home page... It'll certainly give you a massive advantage. It's hard to master but once you have it down...it's amazing. Cheers bro
Hi spoony im sure that ur watching the finals pes league.. u notice pro players 433 against 442 and 433 make it ! and o believe strong player like u would not mind if u play with 433 against 442 right ? Because u play it in ur head am right ?
Fahed Naser Hey dude, 442 beats 433 if player skill is equal. There are tactics within that can define how a team plays it. 442 not diamond, hug, tiki taka should win with a CM n DM. Obviously pro players, everyone is average stats, e.g. no players over like 85.
Fahed Naser check this video... Losing 3-1 at HT, change to 442. Won 3-4. I even stated 442 beats 433... Plenty of other examples...but this is the best one.
This may be surprising but 4-3-3 (and its slightly more balanced variation aka 4-5-1) is actually the easiest formation to use in PES. I'm not talking about the usual long through ball to the wingers that the AI and some players are so fond of but the false winger + false 9 version. It really helps you pass around the ball tiki taka style since you are basically attacking with 5-8 players in midfield, while still allowing you to attack the flanks with the fullbacks for early crosses.
I can't wait for pes 19

I thank you for the prompt answer, Spoony! I'll man mark both the opposite strikers, then. I'll give it a try! Cheers
Cheers :) apply tight marking as well if you have 2 available tactical slots.
Sure! I'll do it! Thanks again! ;-)

4:54 what was that first move with Dembele where he sort of stutter steps before moving to the left of the defender?
PunchFor Pound close R1 and move up L3 + R2
Step over (up on R-stick), down on left stick for direction that you want to shift the ball.
Wow😱
Thanks dude :D
3:55 what move if any did you use to cut inside with Bellotti there?
PunchFor Pound close R1 and move down use L3+L1
What's close R1 and L3+L1?
Hey dude, no special controls - just turned using L-stick (don't hold sprint)
so you managed to hijack iSCO..hmmm
Haha yeah ;-)
