- Now, this video is not sponsored, I just wanted to play around with my editing and I wanted to do a fashion video as I hadn’t done one in a while. I recently bought myself a pair of the hi top Chuck 70 from Converse and I love the sneakers SO much, I wanted to make a whole video on them.
I have been wearing them none stop since I bought them and if you don’t already own a pair, then I cannot recommend them enough. I own two pairs of the low Chuck 70’s but this is my first hi pair. If you are looking for a versatile sneaker that won’t break the bank, then these really are an amazing option. I am going to make sure I always have a pair of these in my rotation from now on.

The parchment/egret colour is the best! Definitely recommend true to size (maybe unless you have narrow feet), I got my first pair half a size down and there was a bit of a break in period. The sole also started to fall off after about 7 months of everyday wear. I got the next pair in my tts and they're way more comfortable and no issues so far.
They look great fresh or beat up. I've worn them with everything from jeans to a suit!
for dress shoes and boots, my favourite is DocMartens but for a casual outfit and for some random event of course it's the timeless Converse High tops.
The pausing between each sentence is perfect.

I’ve been trying to find a cheaper pair online cause they’re pretty expensive but I love the color it’s really different. Almost like a Vanilla Ice cream shade
They sell them in a lot of places so you should be able to find them on offer at some point. They are pretty standard price for shoes these days I think, especially a pair that are so versatile but maybe hold out until you find them on sale

These last and look better than even other Nike high tops that are more expensive. Definitely one of my favorite shoes. Worth the price.
My current every day shoe is the Nike Blazer 77 Vintage, they run at $100, so the fact that I can get a similar retro look in the Chuck 70s for cheaper is great
Have both pairs. The Chuck 70s have better comfort but the blazers look aesthetically more better.
I bought my first pair about a year ago, they were the burlap golf le fleur ones, ever since I haven't stopped Buying them. I've got two parchments, a black, a comme Des garcon, the yellow sunflower, the signature ones that I dyed blue, the artists series

Cannot believe how much these cost now, back when I was a kid, these of course were the only chucks made, thus, the 70s now, but remember chucks costing only 13.00 dollars.
So imagine today, buying Chuck 70s for 13.00.
The dark label in back was the norm too and wondered why they went away, now I know, weren’t made the same. Have 2 pair and love them!!
If you don't care as much about colorway and you're patient, you can get these for $40. It'll be tough to find the white or black ones at that price though. But for $40, they're super worth it. Super comfortable.
Perfect editing. No quick cutaways which seem to infect (there's that word again) so many of today's ads. Keeping feet happy is a must and something most people just take for granted. Design wise the Converse All Stars - Black were the best among sneakers in my opinion. They can match any outfit, any colour and are good looking overall. However, as someone who likes to walk they were very uncomfortable. After few steps I could already feel the pain in my feet and couldn't wait to get home to take them off. I switched to New Balance and Nikes, but still missed the All Stars. Not so long ago I heard about the Chuck 70. Basically an upgrade of the All Stars that is better on every front. The price was bugging me, but got them anyway. And woooh, what a great investment it was!

I upgraded to these since I found the all stars very uncomfortable to walk in since I have flat feet, the night and day difference in the cushioning/comfort was worth the extra I payed over the all stars.

the 70s ones are great, I can't wear the regular ones after trying the 70s and the cdg ones which also use the 70s style. They just feel much better on my feet
About sizing...i'm 8.5 in classic chuck.
I have bought chuck 70 8.5 too and seems to be ok.
But i have read that a lot of people choose an half size down than regular converse..
That shoes seems to be more bigger than regular converse outside,but inside it seems not big, they are comfy (in the same normal chuck number)
I went true to size. If they feel good on then that is all that matters. Everyones feet are different.

My true size is 10. In the basic chucks I wear a 9.5 but in the 70s I ended up true to size. Returning was annoying but worth it. Great shoes, not as comfy as my Palladium Pampa but the look makes up for it.
I just had my first 70s in moss green! I must agree that you go down half of your original size cause the sizing is a bit big.

Two details you could’ve added to the video was showing off the removable insole, and the layer of blue gel that’s hidden under it. That alone makes the comfort of these a million times better than the regular Chucks lol.

I have a black pair of converse fog essentials and I have to agree with all the things you have said , it's similar to the classic black chuck 70 but has a white leather tongue and is very much not a regular chuck from the front but from the sides tho it's the same.

I found a pair of 1970s blue label at goodwill. I'll just stick with the original 👌🏻
they added more fabric, better arch support (VERY IMPORTANT), higher quality stiching and patch and the laces are more durable? thats definately worth the upgrade, u spend a little extra to get really nice features and comfort, i just got a pair of custm 70s cuz im really big and have huge feet, and i also stay true to my size, HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.

I just bought it for around 48 USD brand new and original due to discount in my country, Indonesia 😄
I received mine today. I don't get what's so special about it. It just seems like a regular boring shoe to me. Not a fan of the high-top restricting ankle movement, and while my Chuck Taylor All Star low-top (which I'm also not a huge fan of, but was required to buy for a wedding) also feels like a regular boring shoe, it's at least cheaper and doesn't restrict my ankle movement (the one advantage of the 70 I can think of is that I think the heel is thicker). I suppose a low-top 70 would be the ideal canvas shoe, but Converse doesn't sell the 70 in monochrome black, so I'll stick to the CTAS when I need a canvas sneaker. Otherwise, I'd rather wear a leather Mephisto sneaker-either in full grain for cooler days or perforated nubuck for warmer days.
Is the sizing the same from the regular hi tops?
Do they add my height? I am already 5'10 and I'm tempted go for the All Star version as I don't want to be too tall lol. Thank you
They are padded but flat if that makes sense? It will probably add as much height as any shoe really. The classic chucks will probably be a little less high though as there is mo padding so if that is a real issue then go for those.
The hi top chuck 70 will not add any extra height to the low top chuck 70. They will be the same. I am on about the non 70 version that might add a bit less height as there is less padding. I hope this makes sense

I mean I dig comfort in the form of cushier insoles, but I also find comfort in some structure. For me the shoe moves around a bit too much and squishes here and there without any real structure. Going true to size will be a problem after a couple days when you realize the shoe is monstrously large after the materials soften. Even a half size down is a bit large. This is coming from a guy with 12Dus wide feet.

With the Chuck 70s, does the canvas split apart from the rubber, as it so frequently does with regular Chucks?

I prefer canvas in this shoe but the leather will last longer. Choose whichever you like the best, not what other people choose though 👍👊

Hey, I personally like the parchment as the white looks too clean if you get what I mean? Looks a bit harsh. These are more subtle, which I like. I would definitely advise you to try them on yourself as everyones feet are different. I went true to size and that was fine for me but I have heard others going down half a size. I wouldn't want to tell you to do the same as me as it might not be right for your shape feet. I hope that helps and thanks for the kind words.

I bought them from Holzweiler. They are called the Mellow trousers. They are not in stock anymore I don't think but the Tobi trousers are the same. Another good option is the Uniqlo EZY trousers 2 way stretch

I would be buying the shoe for the look and iconic brand. I like the sewn on patch, the thicker canvas, and the classic look, but in my opinion I still think it can be a much more comfortable shoe. 1:03 the comfort levels are through the roof…Everyone is different but I politely disagree. I really wanted to get myself a pair of this iconic shoe but after going to the store and trying on a pair there was no way I could buy it. It is a more comfortable version of the chuck Taylor All star, but still not comfortable enough to buy, (for me). It would be difficult for me to wear this shoe everyday. I have high arches and this shoe, having a flat insole, offered no support at all.
So many people say they run large ! They are true to size for me.
Be sure to try them on at a store if possible.
I went a size down for my AirForce 1's and true to size for my Chuck 70's.
