      Thank you so much for watching 🤗💕. Great question, ummm honestly it just depends on your location and how long you are visiting. We were there several days but we also had a rental car and stayed outside of the Bourbon street area. Jumping from stop to stop to explore the city would definitely have pros and cons depending on your hotel location and the duration you were there.😉

      @InspiredbyRR  Před 2 lety

      Thank you so much for watching. We actually stayed in a city called Gretna,LA. The hotel we stayed in was a holiday inn 🏨 (you can’t miss it). It was perfect for us because we didn’t want to stay downtown in New Orleans where other tourists might get loud and disrupt our sleep (sleep is crucial to us lol 😂). The hotel was right across the street from the bus pickup so we just walked to it and got on the bus. It was a short 10 minute drive to where all the action was. Make sure you get the unlimited rides fare ticket that we spoke about so you can get to and from your hotel and all around. Safe travels and eat some beignets for us 🤗

      I have a question did the Jazzy pass allow you to see most of New Orleans. I'm catching the train from Memphis.

    • @InspiredbyRR
      @InspiredbyRR  Před 3 lety +1

      @@delanabrown28 In a sense yes….So the thing is the pass allows you to hop on and hop off pretty much anywhere for 24 hours (there are multiple day passes that you can use but we just got the 24 hour pass). It allowed us to catch the bus from our hotel to Bourbon street and several locations before we hopped back on and headed bk to our hotel. We stayed at a hotel in Gretna, LA which was about 20 minutes outside of the Bourbon street area. It worked for us and what we needed and if you are staying within a 20 minute drive radius it definitely beats paying for parking downtown.

      @InspiredbyRR  Před 3 lety

      Awww thank you so much for watching. We are so happy that we were able to help someone with this video🤗. Yes, the Lower 9th Ward museum is by appointment only (due to Covid) so we simply sent an email and they let us come in the very next day. The museum is open for a few hours each day but they are really good with social distancing (we were there alone when we went 😉). Also if we didn’t mention it in the video that museum is FREE! We made sure to leave a donation though. Have a wonderful trip to NOLA and happy spring/soon to be summer! ☀️

    Auuuuuuuugggghhh, I wish I would have watched y’all yesterday. I’m in New Orleans now and needed something to do to since it was raining and cold. Took my mom to the World War II museum, she was unimpressed and she grew tired quickly. I know the Katrina museum (which I didn’t know about) and the art museum would have been more conducive to the both of us. Anyways great video, leaving Friday maybe we can squeeze this things in. P.S. Keep in mind holidays can impact store hours. We went during Easter weekend and some places were open later than advertised on google just because they anticipate more tourists coming during holidays. Mardi Gras would be the time where certain places wouldn’t be open because that is a BIG holiday there.

      Yay 😃! Happy early well wishes on your travels. If you are staying in New Orleans then we recommend just doing the Jazzy pass. If you are staying outside of the city it may be best to get a rental car so you can come and go as you please. We rented a car and used the Jazzy pass. Had we decided to stay in the French Quarter area we wouldn’t have used a rental car due to parking fees. We also drove from Florida, so we kinda needed the rental lol 😂

    Would you go again during the pandemic? We are going this weekend and haven’t been since the pandemic. What should we expect?

    • @InspiredbyRR
      @InspiredbyRR  Před 3 lety

      We went a few weeks ago (4/1/2021) which would be during the pandemic 😷. French Town (Bourbon St) area was pretty busy so we (emphasis on We) honestly would probably not go there (French Town area) again right now. We would however, go back to New Orleans. The city of New Orleans itself wasn’t busy and the museums we went to we felt very safe (little to no crowds at all). We wouldn’t tell anyone to go or not to go somewhere since it would be more of how comfortable that person felt. We felt comfortable and we appreciated just being able to travel again after a year long hiatus. If you have your mask and sanitizer just do and go where you feel most comfortable. All in all, the people were super friendly, the food was delicious (if you get a chance check out our food video there) and we enjoyed ourselves. It was crowded downtown but it was Easter weekend so that could have played a part in it. We hope that answer makes sense ☺️

    • @InspiredbyRR
      @InspiredbyRR  Před 3 lety

      Awww thank you for watching our video and for trusting our opinion. We hope you and your family have a safe and wonderful trip! We personally wouldn’t want to tell someone if they shouldn’t go somewhere because we understand that our experience and comfort may be totally different from another’s experience. What we can say is we had a blast outside of the French Quarter/Bourbon Street area. We aren’t big on the party and drinking scene (which again, is just us but for others this may be their idea of a good time). What we showcased as far as the museums and the food (the other video we made showcasing food outside of the popular Bourbon st area) was a wonderful experience to us and we felt totally safe. We did go during a holiday weekend of this year 2021 (Easter) which could have made a difference or not. We recommend to do what feels right for you and your family. If you do not feel comfortable somewhere you do have the right to remove yourself from the area. We only spent about an hour in French Quarter to avoid any crowds (but we went down there in the morning when it was less people which helped). Once crowds started coming we were done with what we wanted to do. The early bird always catches the worm lol 😂. So that’s another tip if you are wanting to avoid crowds always gm have a set itinerary and try to go to popular places early while other tourists are still asleep.😉. We hope this helps and whatever you and your family decide to do will be the best decision 🤗🌻
