    Good video. I remember when I skinned my first bear for my rug. It's tedious but rewarding.

    Hey Steve. I like to stay a bit high on the arm pits when skinning bears for rugs. It allows the bear to look larger and more square. Also, pads are coming off for the rugs, no worries in nicking them

    What meat bags were you guys using?
    Love your books, wish they were waterproof though!

      +Justin Bingham They use Alaska Game Bags. alaskagamebags.com/

    • @TheHYENA87
      @TheHYENA87 Před 8 lety

      If you want total waterproof then a garbage bag is your best bet. Just be careful that the meat is cool before being put in as the heat can stay in a sealed bag and spoil. The Alaskan bags are best.

      I was talking about the book being water proof lol. I left it out one day and it got ruined in a storm.

    Why is it that you do a 4 minute video on skinning a bear ? but a 7 minute video on vacuum sealing meat ?

    Can you make a bear rug just like that, or is there another step to get the bones and flesh out of the paws?

    • @mikemike9747

    Cut the bears neck form the back so the taxidermist doesn’t have to fix the lips

    What prices would you have to go through in order to make a headdress whether bear or another medium/large animal?

    Could you sell the hide untanned? How much would a hide like that go for?
