As insane as this is, they did get REALLY lucky with 2/3 waves being special rounds, and relatively easy ones at that. Still though, they had amazing team coordination!
You mean, 3/3! Fog absolutely counts as it's the only event in which 10-egg Goldies can spawn ;P
Luck is 100% required for getting really insane amounts of eggs like this but keep in mind this isn't showing the likely hundreds of thousands of other attempts where the stars didn't align. (Unless they were playing on a set seed)

Not only were all the waves night modes, but they actually got amazing weapons, AND had great synergy.

Yes they do. The only way you can tell that is the sounds.

I’ve only gotten max hazard level once with friends. I’ve never been able to do it with the match making in splatoon.
Imagine these people coming here to a splatoon video just to say splatoon looks bad and shouldn't have won best multiplayer of the year, like is there nothing better in your lives that you can be doing than you're going to insult many people's favorite game just because you're too closed minded to give it a legit try

A 241 egg clear is impressive as hell. My personal record is nowhere near that figure.

I’m surprised the WR would be at HLM and not an easier difficulty.
lower hazard levels would mean less bosses and therefore less eggs. the highest scores will have to be at the highest hazard level because the opportunity for more eggs is at its maximum then. but i’m pretty sure this is no longer the WR now lol

You’re able to save data from previous salmon run rounds now so how long did they practice?
This is from the wildcard grizzco blaster rotation, which was before scenario codes were a thing. It’s one of those things where you can’t practice a shift like this. You might get similar wave types with the amount of shifts that need to be played to even reach HLM, let alone 999, but not necessarily all at once for a WR. Now that scenario codes are a thing, there will likely be 2 WR categories, one for random seed and one for set seed, similar to Minecraft WRs

Aren't there overfishing videos that list more than 245 eggs? This is still very impressive, it's just that there probably are groups who have beat this record lmao
with set seeds, this is completely random wildcard rotation that wasnt set or practised, the others are the records for seeds btu this is the record for random if that makes sense
