When my parents were in their 70’s and had a new house built, an elderly family member told them to have at least one walk in shower on the ground floor as a precaution in case of injury. Sure enough, now in their 80’s, my mom had a hip replacement and getting in and out of their master bath tub shower was impossible for her post surgery. They had put in a walk in shower in what had been originally planned as a powder room off their mud room and it was a life saver for her while she was recovering.

I hope some day that I can own or live in a place that doesn’t have yrs of wear and tear badly kept surfaces from previous occupants, as I have found it can make it harder to clean efficiently and make them look and feel clean. Sadly many surfaces I have had to deal with have been way past their best days and are as old as the 70s and 80s, damaged and worn but landlords often won’t replace with new or better condition second hand leaving it harder for someone like myself who strives to keep things in good repair and looking nice and clean. I have taken on many of your tips and tricks using similar products found in my country and using your cleaning steps which have helped me slightly improve on some surfaces and regular upkeep helps prevent them worsening to some degree, but age of surfaces sometimes eventually gets to a point they can lo longer improve and just deteriorate. I keep the dream alive that one day I can have a fresh new modern surfaces house to work with so i have less extra work to do. Thanks for sharing I love watching your videos and learning from you 💖

I have a separate shower and a separate bathtub in my bathroom. Personally, I love to bath, lie back and relax.
In the UK, it has been found that by taking out the bathtub and replacing it with a shower; actually de-values your property. Less so if it is a starter home for couples but for couples with children, giving your child a bath is regarded as a great social time to interact with a very young child while they are getting used to bathing. The bonus to having a bathtub is when bathing children the whole action helps them to relax and at the same time become sleepy.
Remember though to: Never leave a child alone in the bathtub.

I always tell moms this when I hear them talking about potty training. I bought a potty chair for my son when he was 2 yo. When I showed it to him he picked it up went into the living room sat it beside dads recliner ready to watch tv. My husband (a pediatrician) said “he not ready, we don’t need to push him”. We had another baby on the way so we just took our time. Also a lot of child abuse comes about during potty training. I never did get back to potty training, when he was 3 yo I told him I thought he was a big boy and could wear big boy underwear. He had one accident and that was it. I did the same thing with little brother. No headache of potty training. Sometimes we make things harder than it has to be and potty training is not a competition. If my child takes longer to learn than yours good for you.

It's more to clean when I actually use the tub, but it's nice and open so when I take a bath I don't feel closed in, and I don't have to worry about scrubbing the tub nearly as often. I have a small house with 1 bathroom. It has a tub shower combo. That's what I'm used to so I guess that's what I like

I'm all for a stand alone shower, *IF* it's big enough. 🚿 If there's one thing I can't stand, it's tiny, claustrophobic shower boxes. My elbows should not bump into the sides as I wash my hair. 😤 If it's between a shower box or a tub-shower combo, I'll take a combo. 🛁

I use your mop with the one of your microfiber cloths attached now to do the floor when cleaning the bathroom! So much easier than getting down on my hands and knees.

I had a tub and a shower in my master bathroom. When I had an issue with the tub, I got rid of it and put in a bench. This way I have a place to get dressed in the mornings and it looks fabulous with all the pillows.

Your videos are awesome. Could you please share your enzyme mirror cleaner recipe? I have a marble countertop and worry about the vinegar mirror recipe damaging the marble.

4 small children and I have just a stand alone shower. I do wish I had a big enough tub to relax in sometimes.

I read somewhere that rinsing the tiles with cold water doesn't leave hard water spots on your tiles. In that article they talked about rinsing immediately after you took a shower.

Since I haven't used a tub in almost 30 years, I can do without one. We removed the tub in the master bath for a walk in. The guest bathroom was always a walk in and the upstairs bathroom still has its tub.

@@a.sydney5036 It’s more than for just poop, and it’s not always just yours... I work as a commercial cleaner, and I clean like 20 toilets a day. The nice clean white disposable gloves I wear when I clean bathrooms, are always stained yellowish brown, are sticky to the touch, and often have random hairs stuck to them by the time I’m done cleaning. It’s absolutely repulsive and I’m glad I can just remove the gloves and sleep soundly knowing all that was never on my actual hand. Next time you clean your toilet, where some gloves and see how dirty they are when you’re done

@@a.sydney5036 lol sorry that was pretty graphic. It barely bothers me anymore, I’m so mentally disconnected from the nastiness of it all, mainly thanks to the gloves lol.

Same. But mostly bc of the strong products that I use. If I don't wear a glove my hands even peel the skin off.
