- Fins and Things in Moab Utah is a very unique and popular trail. We take our Overland Ram 2500 on this trial that mostly consists of Slickrock and dirt. Pushing our tow rig to its limits.
This is our first trip to Moab Utah. We meet up with a few Jeep friends and decide to run Fins and Things. It's a very popular trail located in the Sand Flats Recreation Area. There is a small $5.00 fee to enter the park. Sand Flats also offers camping, mountain biking, and Hell's Revenge trail is located here as well. Our Ram 2500 has been our go-to truck for just about everything these past few years. Living on the road full-time as digital nomads we knew we needed something versatile. It's our tow rig, rock crawler, Prerunner, and Overlanding truck. It's good at everything and great at nothing, thanks for watching.

Thanks man! We like taking it out as much as possible.
@@AdventureEndeavor it's nice! We were on trail yesterday in ours & things got pretty tight...but still so worth it! 😜😎
Oh yeah they struggle to fit at times.
Great job, Melissa! I couldn't do that. You are BRAVE!!
Yes you could!!! Come on ladies…we ARE brave. We can do ANYTHING we want to!!!
She did such a great job, fun day on the trail! Thanks for watching everyone!
At 5.24 into the vid.... AHHH, that's when the new Fab Fours Matrix bumper illustrates its value... Scraped Chrome...not a good look but I guess kind of like a scar, it shows you aren't afraid of looks.
You go girl..... Awesome job
Thanks Bill!
Good to see a HD Ram out there. I've got to get down there again. Love Moab
Moab is incredible! The truck did good! We hope to be back soon!
Awesome!
Thanks Jim, so much fun!
Good fun Moab ya! Like this a lot .
It was a great time, funny thing is we did this after work on a week day!
We agree. Killer job Melissa!!!!!
Soon we will have two vechiles to take out in the trail! Jeep build will be starting soon! Thanks for watching.
@@AdventureEndeavor that’s great. We’re glad that things are going well.
I am amazed at how great the Ram is on these trails. We hope to head out to Moab in the fall and plan to hire someone to drive around because I can’t see taking my dually out. Great driving Malissa!!
Yeah out truck does very well, we have a lot invested into the suspension. That's another reason we don't want a dually. Mel did great so proud of her!
Awsome driving! We were there over 4th of July way to hot to wheel at 104°
Thank you! Yeah those temps don't sound fun at all!
This was such a fun day!!
Yeah it was, you did a great job at driving!
Great job wheeling that beast! 🙌🏾
Wow! You have nerves of steel, Melissa!
She did a killer job! We might need another offroad vehicle!
@@AdventureEndeavor I agree!
Moab is so much fun, been twice so far.
It really is, we have been once before. Spent a good time there this time! Thanks for watching!
Just did Fins n Things yesterday. Ram 2500 with the hemi on 35's. I aired down to 30psi and disconnected front sway bar. We are running a shell like you but with a roof top tent up top. That thing was tippy lol but the limited slip in these truck are so nice. Also, installing front and rear cameras is one of the best upgrades I've done. Great vid! I will be uploading our trip soon.
Nice sounds like a great time! These trucks work well.
My Ram 2500 6.7 is getting a Carli 3” lift with ft sway bar.
Will the sway bar bend/snap with that much articulation?
Please advise.
Thanks
Should be fine. We just have the stock seat bar with a 1 inch drop
@@AdventureEndeavor thank you.
Stay dirty my friends!
I want to do this!😊
You should it was a great time!
I feel like they just got done doing it before recording this part (@1:50)
Maybe I don't remember it's been a few years
Ladder still frames witch truck chases are built on no matter what brand they are. Ate designed for the twist that 4 wheeling does to especially a Diesel. I've been building and repair off road frames for 45 plus year's. Just be careful I know it's fun. You guys do some great hiking trails.
Well thanks for the advice we do appreciate it!
Great video, can this be done in a stock 2020 3500 4x4 SRW?
You could definitely do parts of the trail. You'll most likely drag bumpers and your hitch. But with good spotting you can probably complete it, idk that I reccomend it though.
Headed out there in a couple months with my F250, can't wait. One spot I did not see in the video is the one real rocky steep climb, not the smooth slick rock like most of it. Any issues with high centering or is there a bypass? Most vids of fulls sizes I see on Fin N things, don't show them going over that spot.
I don't remember that section. We didn't high center at all though. Maybe a different trail? Hell's Revenge is very similar and they cross. Hopefully this helps.👍
@@AdventureEndeavor Looks like I shouldn't have any issues then with my F250, looks to be close to your setup on your Ram. The spot is where this Tundra gets stuck right at the end of this video czcams.com/video/x2tIju0MqOo/video.html.
I THINK you'll be fine. What have you done to it?
@@AdventureEndeavor It's on 35s with a Detroit locker in the rear, full skid plates underneath. It has about 2 feet of clearance to the bottom of the rocker panels. Also has aftermarket bumpers so not worried about tearing those up haha. Also no sway vars when I'm off road. I've seen stock full sizes out there, just wasn't sure about that one spot.
Oh yeah you should fine. I think we hit our sliders once, my wife drove the whole trail as well.
You guys are crazy! I love it.
We literally just set up camp 16 miles outside of Moab. Ready to explore. My stock Ram 2500 won’t be doing Fins. 😂
But! You should check out my adventure at Lake Powell getting stuck trying to help someone. Buried up to the frame and had to leave it until morning. 😳😳😳 Photo and video on my Instagram. It’s funny...now.
Awesome you guys will have a blast! Wow sounds like something I would do, I'll check it out!
Do you have an attachment to attach your GoPro to the truck?
Yes quite a few, but we should get a few more to switch up the angles.
What make of air compressor do you have? Mine will not pump above 40 psi
Great question, we have 2 450c Viair compressors. Mounted to the frame under the rear wheel well. I THINK they go up to 150 PSI.

@@AdventureEndeavor Thanks, I have been looking at harbor freight but you have to be careful what you buy there
Yes you really need to be careful, we really like the ones we have.
What sliders are those?
They were made by a local fab shop in Southern California . The fab lab on Instagram, they are great.
@@AdventureEndeavor Thanks! I'll check it out.
Of course great guy! Excellent work.
Your going to have a problem when you brake the frame in your truck
Why would we brake the frame? It's been offroad many miles and inspected without out issue. Do you know of a common problem?
