    True heroes don’t wear capes.
    They wear yellow wellies.

Awe inspiring video. The RNLI vessels may be superb pieces of engineering, but it is the incredible men and women of the crews, the shore teams and the families that support them that are the most important components of saving lives at sea. Nothing happens without them. Keep up the amazing work!

Thank you for your thoughtful comment Phil, we completely agree - we'd be nowhere without our volunteers, supporters and their families.

Thanks for coming to my aid many years back when I got into trouble out at sea brixham life boat came out but they had to send the all weather big boat as my boat was to big for the RIB they sent out at 1st
I’m now sailing in the Mediterranean Sea for the last 5 years thinking about crossing the Atlantic Ocean one day
    Many thanks again
    Your all hero’s 🙏

I don’t think anything embodies the best of British values more than the RNLI. The word hero gets used too easily these days, but every single RNLI volunteer and staff are truly, genuinely, heroes. Let’s not forget the engineers that designed these vessels and technology to allow the RNLI save lives at sea. Thank you for everything you all do

Love these engineering videos. Many many folks contribute to every shout. It takes a huge team to put the boat and its crew in the sea, at any moment, and enable the crew to put their utmost into every rescue effort. Absolutely worthy charity. Remember to contribute!

We disagree - we think our volunteer crews do an incredible job in the toughest conditions out there, without question and without drama. We're proud to tell their stories and ask them for their perspectives on rescues.

@@Paul-pf6rm Er! I was 100% joking! I just hope you are too? I spent 32 years as a firefighter in the UK and my respect and admiration for the work the crews do, in all weathers, is second to none. You just can’t be serious! 😡
