- I bought a greenhouse for $1300. These are my thoughts on the materials used, assembly, online reviews, and some recommendations for getting the most out of this greenhouse. If you're a Costco member and you're looking at their selection of greenhouses, this is probably something you should check out.
Please pardon the mess in the greenhouse. I'm still constructing some important things like a floor, shelves, and a potting bench. I've also done some rudimentary plumbing that I'm not super proud of.

Thanks so much for a perfect review. I am assembling one at this time.
I hope it was helpful! And I hope you enjoy your new greenhouse!
I really appreciate your sense of humor.
Thank you so much! :)
Really helpful review, thanks!
I'm so glad you found it helpful!
Wonderful, candid review. Thank you....I'm researching prior to buying. Question: did you build this upon a concrete slab? I'm thinking that concrete outer forms for the dimension of the base could be better for drainage.
I built mine on a pretty tight budget, so it's on 4x4 ground contact rated lumber. A concrete slab would be a great foundation!
Thank you for your video. We just got ours yesterday and haven’t started assembling it yet. Where did you find a kit to automate the roof vents.
I bought an off-brand vent opener and had to fudge it to make it fit. I recommend going with Palram's vent opener instead. It'll wind up being cheaper and less stressful than my experience.
You can use this link to go to the Palram website, which will help you choose where to buy your automated vent openers:

@@casualgardeningwithdustin thank you so much! Just ordered 2.
@@karona7749 I'm so happy I was able to help you!
It sounds like a greenhouse from Ikea!
I can see what you mean. :)
if we get something like this we plan to dig out a three foot sub frame for it. see if we can get the bottom below the frost line. but thanks for the review.
Digging down to the frost line is a great idea! You'll see better thermal stability that way and you won't need to worry about frost heaving in the winter.
