Dame Shirley Bassey hits those notes with accuracy & she makes it look so easy when it is her pure talent. So few singers can sing like Dame Bassey. She is just WOW.

Dame Shirley Bassey is a national treasure of Wales! As my mother would have said when she heard her sing, "She's Welsh you know."

When it comes to music time is irrelevant… a good singer is a good singer. Fortunately I was around when Shirley was banging them out. A truly exceptional talent…. Once in a lifetime performer. Guys listen to more for you have only scratched the surface.

I was taken to see Dr No when I was a boy in the 60s. It was stunning as was From Russia With Love and this one, Goldfinger. I adored Shirley as she seemed so exotic and mesmerising.

I had the privilege of attending two live Bassey concerts in the 80s (at the Hollywood Bowl, Los Angeles). Shirley personified "diva" before the word was common in popular culture. To witness her entrance on to the stage (alone) was worth the price of admission. She wore robes encrusted with stones that could be seen from the "no oxygen" seats; and would slowly remove them (in a sultry manner) and toss them aside; as if telling her audience..."The Queen has officially arrived!". Then there's THAT voice backed up by an orchestra she conducted with subtle hand gestures. Ms Bassey is (no doubt) one of the greatest performers of the 20th century ❤️

One of the greatest voices of the 20th century. Have seen her live 15 times and the experience was ten times better than you get from watching videos. Another amazing performance from this concert was 'Somehow'' and also, from The Talk of the Town in 1972 I think, was a song called 'Excuse Me'. There are so many you could dedicate an entire channel to her 63 year career. The Lady is a Tramp from the Royal Gala, again at the Royal Albert Hall. Phenomenal vocals. Really enjoy watching you guys 👌

Dame Shirley Bassey holds the record of singing the most James Bond themes Gold Finger, Diamonds are Forever & Moonraker. Shirley only performs with a live orchestra. Now in her 80's her voice hasn't changed and she can still hit the big notes. Love her version of The Beatles hit Hey Jude.. Just found you keep up the good work.
