Rover Is The Lord Arbiter.. But What Does That Mean? | Wuthering Waves Lore

- In the recent 1.1 story for wuthering waves, we learn that the sentinel Jue actually knows who the rover is and refers to them as the Lord Arbiter. The sentinel reveals plenty about the rover and their role as an arbiter and even mentions that they once served them but it isnt revealed what exactly the role of the arbiter is or what the rover was sent here to do. In the wuthering waves lore, little is know about the rovers past and because of their memory lost we can only guess a few things but since 1.1 its been confirmed that the rover is the lord arbiter but what does that actually mean
In this video we are going to discuss everything mentioned by Jue in the 1.1 story related to the rover and figure out what the role of the arbiter actually is
Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation on my part as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into Wuthering Waves lore.

With patch 1.1
They instantly made him better than Traveller. How Powerful in the story endgame they will be with a good reason to travel and care about the world.
Traveller literally has no reason now. They are getting sidetracked. Even Fontaine didn't need there help because everything Important had already been done by Focalors in the past.

Cook brother, cook. cant believe theyre that well invested in traveler despite not doing anything (but for real, seems like genshin live rent free in our head all the time....hated it)
I kinda feel the traveller was meant as a self-insert but their quest at this point doesnt seem to have a strong driver, even in 4.7 where we finally had a chat with our sibling it ended up being forgotten due to the circumstances of the location they met in. Hope it gets better in 5.0
@@Maevix3142 And Rover has. We know what they are. What would there likely goals be etc. They now have reason to literally do Open World stuff without feeling sidetracked.
I was right to say Wuwa fans are the worst Gacha game fans. You can't go for two steps into any Wuwa content without anyone randomly attacking Genshin. Like dude, if you want to compare content and character, why don't you compare it with Star Rail or ZZZ, since everyone seems to say that both of those games are better than Genshin. Why does it have to specifically Genshin? For sure, both games have similar gameplay, but character, lore, and world building doesn't care about gameplay. So why does it have to be specifically Genshin?
At this point, the only answer I can think of is that you and people similar to you are neither a wuwa nor a genshin fan. You are just a Genshin hater who uses Wuwa as a disguise to exercise your hate on Genshin. You are ruining both game's communities.
I think the character in the opening cutscene has this sad look to herself because she is doing what The Lord Arbiter wants which is erasing their memory and send them as a "mortal" in the humans world
Rover is basically god in Sol 3, now this fun because now that we know what exactly he is, the problems now are: why is someone like him amnesiac? if he's basically god-like then what is his level compared to the goddess from the beginning? How would antagonists react towards him knowing he is too powerful? and a lot more other questions arise.
It is very interesting too see how the plot develops now. If more lore gets dropped in 1.2 can we have a continuous series of discussing the lore?
So Rover same as a The Watcher in PGR. To watch and decide the Humanity Progress.
I havent personally played PGR but within the context of wuwa it certainly does seem like it
@@Maevix3142yeah, The Watcher or The Observer in P:GR is an extremely powerful entity in a sense they have "God"-level power. In P:GR, The Observers actually involved even tho it's minimal, One of The Observers "revived" one of the characters and gave that character a new power because The Observer believed with that character alive again then humanity can progress more. Another example is The Other Observer sent her projection (The Observer's clone with her fraction of Power) to The Ascendant faction to kill Their Leader because their leader is evolving to become even more powerful and already tapping to the fractions of The Observers "God"-level power and will become a hindrance to Humanity's Progress, The Observer's projection failed the task and got defeated by The Ascendant's Leader and because of that This Observer now give a little help to the 5th faction because she believes this 5th faction is the key to Humanity progress. There are mainly 5 factions in P:GR iirc:
1. Humanity (The Player's side)
2. Punishing Virus
3. The Ascendant
4. The Church of Machina
5. 5th Faction (i forget the name of this 5th faction lol)
atleast somone has same tought,this feels like very beginning where events before pgr story happens
what is up with gacha games and their amnesiac protagonists serving as the "watcher" of sorts. There have been at least three games with this trope.

@@fakelawchannel3026 To be fair, some people might not pick it up, but I personally think it's pretty obvious as well... considering I remember close to nothing about Traveller while I recall Rover's stories just fine despite the plentiful of dialogue.
The problam we next to nothing about the traveler his past is an enigma the few things we know about him and his sibling is that they are survivors of destroyed world and they have been travelling for may be thousands of years @@MagisterialVoyager
@@einsofjehohazabraham5957 I suppose that makes sense. To be fair, we know quite little about Rover as well, _but_ we already got some info of them pre-memory loss from 1.1 alone. And it's _massive_ lore-wise, in my opinion. GI has gone so far for so long and we still kinda don't know about the main characters. I'm quite sure I'm rather biased because I'm still upset about GI - but that is personal, of course.
I was thinking that the Rover who is the only true resonator by that I mean is incapable of overclocking because I believe that’s a side-effect and can only resonate with one type of frequency I also think they’re going to have the ability to give and takeaway resonance I also think that the engine that was mentioned was created by the rover
Its certainly possible that they could be the apex of what a resonator can be but I been toying around with the idea that maybe theyre not a resonator at all and their abilities come directly from the discords they absorb. They gained the havoc rover only after absorbing the dreamless and my guess is spectro is from abby though this is just a convoluted headcanon theory of mine 😂

I think I discussed this somewhere in a Buddhist/Hindu space about how deities can only experience infinity, so they created us with love to experience something they cannot; finity. Basically the whole "I put you on earth to grow".
If rover gets a mechanic upgrade as the story goes on that would be so fire

Its either they are "cleaner" or "purer" in the sense that they dont have any discord or disharmony and are far more stable compared to other creatures or perhaps they were artificially created, grown in lab or something so they appear with no imperfections. Could also be just a clear distinction between 'good' and 'bad' but visually represented through their designs😁

funny if the lore of wuwa also inspired from lotr. If the tascent discords are somewhat something very old during the world creation. Basically something being mistakes from the creator's song.
Rover could besomething like Nahida, created by the Arbiter for the purpose of saving humanity send back to the past to fix their mistakes

Kind of funny that you completely don't mention the part about Jinhsi being a magic resurrected baby and thus the only one who could be doing this business with Jue. I was kind of unsure how to even approach that aspect.
As I understand it she was brought back to life through timey wimey reversal and because of that had some part of Jue and why she can do this, I initially included this in the video but it made it too long for my liking and since it was about the arbiter I figured better to just remove it 😂
Nope she is resurrected exactly because jinshi is jue resonator. Not because jue resurrect her she become resonator.

I dont know if what happened in the story was her outright defeating jue, it seemed more like jue was trying to push her to the limits so it could transfer the mandate rather than try to kill jinhsi outright. Red psycho guy on the other hand probably fights without limits against anyone who isnt rover

@@lorddrakkon3289 nah.. Most gacha the MC has flavor beyond the generic thing Wuwa is doing. The CBT Wuwa was good but they changed it cuz some snowflakes hated darker tone story so they ended up with an over power Mary sue MC.
