That's the first I've heard about Ric doing a special run of a discontinued bass. Hats off to them for doing it. I love my 4003.
I have 10 basses and my 4003 is my favorite! Just getting acquainted with the 4005, but it feels a lot like the 4003. The neck is a bit chunkier in the shoulders, like some of the older 4001s I've played. The toaster pickups were brighter than I expected. I think it's going to work really well with distortion and effects.
That Novo guitar is gorgeous. Love the silver cases for both, too. The Rickenbacker is amazing.
It's hilarious that I ordered these months apart, about a year ago, from completely different places, and they came on the same day in almost exactly the same cases. 😄
The Novo is just a masterpiece, it's light and super playable, it was set up perfectly and the gold foil pickups sound incredible. The Rickenbacker was purchased as much for the collectability as anything, but the more I play it, the more it's becoming my favorite bass. I can get a wider range of tones out of it than my 4003, just by changing the place I pluck. The neck is chunkier than a 4003, but I'm growing to like that too.
@@ChrissyOneMusic last year I bought a new Novo Rivolta Combinata (that’s a mouthful😅) bass.
Loved the look, it sounded really good too, but I didn’t care for the feel of it, so I returned it.

This miris is the most gorgeous guitar I’ve ever seen. It brings all of Mr Fano’s unique design visions together. Absolutely sensational guitar. It’s on the top (by far) of my holy grail list. I’m seriously gonna sell 5 + guitars to get a Novo Miris 🙏🎸🎸🎼🎶🎼🎶
Totally worth it. It’s the one I have out all the time and handles every style of playing I do. It’s a masterpiece.

I do, it's the one that always out to be played, and it does just about anything I want it to do. They're worth the wait!

@@larrybstreetfish5852 The Serus T will be exactly like the Miris. The bass is also "Bonfire," but has medium distress.

Does the hardshell case close on top of the trem arm on the Novo? I want to get the upgraded hardshell but it seems like when you close it that the case lid would press down on the bar causing the guitar to sit without enough string tension? Seems like a problem for long term situations.

I wondered about that too, but I don't think it's a problem. The case puts a slight amount of pressure on the bar, but I doubt it's enough to cause any issues. I know that Mastery recommends not removing the arm, because the tolerances are so tight, and it can get bound if you get any debris in there. But this isn't a Floyd Rose - there isn't a ton of movement for the throw of the arm.

@@ChrissyOneMusic Well I picked up a Serus J last week and the more I play it the more I love it. No hype, Novos really are as good as people say they are. It's a keeper. Hope all is well!
