Poor jay was pressured by Phil into helping with the cover up. Ben was willing to frame Jay for murdering Heather
then when Ben was sent to prison Jay took all the backlash on the square

And the worst part is all he did was witness it happen. He didnt hit Heather, he didnt grab the frame to hit her, he didnt even know it was going to happen :(
