Disney in 2026: We’ve brought on Chris Nolan to direct the next star wars film
Chris Nolan in 2028 BTS: *So I felt the audience deserved to see a jedi’s weapon truly in action, so i made a real lightsaber*
The reason Mr Nolan is so respected.
Honestly I could see that happening
Christopher Nolan will always belong to Warner Bros
Nolan is way better to be owned by any company. He is an ideal genius substance to whole bigger scope of cinema.

easily the best batmobile

Disagree, bvs batmobile is the best
No BvS batmobile is
This is 2 best
Have you guys ever heard of Michael Keaton ?
Live action? Tim Burton is your guy.
The fact that it’s 100% real and functioning just makes this one of the best super hero movies to date. This vehicle is crazy. Would be nuts if military found some sort of combat use for them.
Ive long been curious over if real military academies have hired Sci Fi and fiction writers to design lethal concepts for the development of military tech, could win a lot of ground battles with Plasma or lazer weaponry
I heard the military actually bought some Ripsaw's... the tank in the GI Joe movie
My man, all the batmobiles have been real in every iteration of the character. Wtf are you on?
Don't care what people say, this is by far the greatest batmobile.
It’s a cool looking vehicle for sure, but as the Batmobile not so much.
The people who are correct agree with you
It is definetly the most realistic and coolest looking by far, military equipment at its finest, definetly my favourite, even though it doesn't really match the original one.
It's like someone took Burton's Batmobile and gave it a lethal injection of pure testosterone. I adore both of these cars.
@@filmgoblin5016 it's look like badass soldiers vehicle
My uncle was a head pyrotechnic on this movie and he brought me on set and let me ride in this absolute beast when I was about 7 years old. They were filming the scene on lower whacker. I tell everyone I know this.
I love your vid on Peterson mate
aight nice story, moving on
Yeah right
@@whatsthesauce Or the "My dad is Bill Gates" story
That's true, i was the uncle.
So... They needed a fictional sci-fic vehicle, so they have build fully functional sci-fic vehicle...
Oh god I love this...
Oh its not sci-fic anymore ;)
I mean, all the batmobiles were built fully functional
Imagine what would happen if some crazy nerd got his hands on one with heavy armor and functional weaponry.
*Mr. Burns style evil finger tenting intensifies
Love how grungy and strong it looks. The other batman got the sleek detective batmobile. He gets the militant, in the streets, crime fighting, intimidation batmobile. A growling, roaring dark unseen tank immediately arriving on scene increases the fear factor tremendously. That’s freaking epic!
Guys says: "The Tumbler was to have capabilities that we felt a CRIME FIGHTER would need to have in a modern day."
Shows the Tumbler destroying a bunch of COP cars, hahaha
@Adam Jessee Technically the cops in that scene were in the way, but they were doing their job bc they didnt know who Batman was at the time and just saw a random guy recklessly driving in a vehicle that wasn't street legal
So funny! Vigilantism 101.
@Adam Jessee You mean cops like men and women Jim Gordon once trusted?
Uh oh, here comes the political comments.
Well, ACAB
It's late 2022 and this is still the best badass vehicle Batman has ever driven
Built one, a mock-up anyway.
Nolan trilogy : Uses a real tech and gets a good picture...
BvS : Uses CGI but also got a great shot and filters...
Justice league : *The exact opposite of these two*
you know, they built a real BatCave in BVs?
@@tejaskumar265 That too a truly beautiful one.
@@tejaskumar265 It's no big deal building a batcave lol
@@tejaskumar265 the point is that the BvS batmobile is far less functional than the tumbler.
Zack Snyder's justice league fixed that! I still hate that we got to see the abomination of a film with the josstice league , hopefully Snyder can fix this
8:30 wtf didn't realise those jumps were fully real
It's incredible
We've no reason to believe the official making-of documentary. They often lie in them to sell movies. None of the jumps in the movie show the beginning of the jump. Bad CGI at 8:10.
Of course they are not, they just tried to explain that it would probably be possible in reality.
@@Duenferra Yes, thank you. Even that is a bit farfetched in some aspects of what was told, though. Like you said, 'probably'.
I'm pretty sure they used ramps but actually did the jumps

I just love the beastly sound it makes. Thing's got a growl that'll make your teeth shake.
Definitely
Yeah but unfortunately thats just after production noise. The vehicle actually has a sound thats best described as SCREEEEEEE. Watch Jay Leno's video on the car to hear it
@@alexdodge2515 There was no after-production noises for the Tumbler. That was the actual sound the car made when they were shooting the film. Same goes for the 'stealth' mode scene, where they used an electric motor to become silent. (Something that a V8 is incapable of.) Everything in the movie is real.
@@ultimatums1 The Jay Leno Batmobile is only ONE of the Batmobiles. One of them was blown up, the rest were sent away. They did not sound like that when they were shooting the film. They probably didn't even use the one Jay Leno has.
@@alexdodge2515 They had 3 different versions of the car for different purposes, Jay Leno's Tumbler is just one of them, and it's the one with the quiet engine that's easier to drive for extended periods of time and has more comfort elements compared to the others. Then there's the stunt car which performed all the practical jumps and stunts, and lastly there's the show car which has the advanced roof design and is used for the glamour shots etc.
The sound of the vehicle is the natural sound of the Stunt version of the Tumbler that has not been quietened down, that's its natural sound with no artificial sound editing (except for obvious post production editing to match sound levels etc).
The Tumbler/Batmobile is along with the Batwing one of the best things in design of The Dark Knight trilogy. It just steals the show whenever it appears in a scene! I was so happy to discover the Batmobile in Arkahm Knight seems to be almost entirely based on Nolan's Tumbler. In the game you can drive around struggling to control that beast and it cuts through most everything in the city like butter! Lol!
best batmam mobile ever
Ramiro Garcia No. No, it's not.
Chris Burdick it is.
It's the best to me not only because it's so bad ass looking, but it's the most capable and functional of all designs put together. Although the my other two favorites is the original design of Adam West and Michael Keaton in 1989 movie.
This batmobile is a glorified go cart
@@kylefunk546 This "glorified gokart" can literally bust through concrete walls, survive jumps its own height, and run over other cars. In real life, not just as a cgi crapmobile. And it's by far the most contemporary of all the batmobiles ever made.
2019 m still watching it.. goosebumps and high Adrenaline everytime whenever I watch piece of Nolans batman trilogy and Hans Zimmers best soundtrack..this makes me go to the gym..
0:30 That looked like grilled chicken 😂
There have been so many attempts to copy this Batmobile over the years since 2005, but they all just end up looking like shapeless heaps of metal, whereas the Tumbler has so much personality and manages to look like a compelling living creature while still seeming totally realistic as a military vehicle.
Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy is the best! I wish he comes back to redirect other Batman Projects
Also other superhero films
No, they suck once the Nolanite drug wears off.
The dark night in particular is pretty much the best superhero film ever made, only movie that comes close is infinity war
@@IshamTrivedi fuck off

ohh nooooo lmao
I love these movies because everything that happens in them has a reason. They weren't like "Oh he's a billionaire so he must have a crazy car somehow..." They actually showed a milliary wehicle and painted it black. To me that sounds like a most likely way someone could get something like a batmobile.
they made it look like more realistic unlike in other bat version vehicles
This is what happens when you hate VFX.
Chris is a living legend.
on the contrary he loves it. he loves it so much that he didn't allow the limitation of technology in CGI affects his timelessness of his movie, and achieved an impressive VFX with minimal use of CGI. he won the oscar for best visual effect in interstellar
This is how you make a movie legend total dedication to your craft to every detail
Shout out to those engineers. They did a phenomenal job.
If someone made a copy of the tumbler with real armor plating that would be something to see
And thus came the Lamborghini Urus
If only the Urus was even a shadow of this car, it would actually be cool. But they just turned it into yet another highway slayer with no practical benefits outside being an oversized stationcar with a tiny lift kit.
The Urus looks nothing like this
One of my favorite versions of the Batmobile.
"I gotta get me one of those”.
3:11 they actually made it open like that? That so fucking cool
The only true batmobile.
(Its my childhood)
the only true batmobile? nonsense
The Bvs is more batman-like
@@thestarkknightreturns it was kinda based on the same concept.
@@AlmoftadaMohammed
But the tumbler is much less stylized and more function-oriented. If it wasn't dropped off, the military would still use it.
The Bvs batmobile is a suped-up, armored version of the 1989 one. Combining military use with the batman aestethic. In the fins, spoilers, elongated chassis...
Both are heavily inspired by the tank-like aspects of the dark knight returns comic, but the Bvs one is more in line with the typical Batmobile iconography.
@@thestarkknightreturns e
Exactly, and the most important thing that I would look for is actually how realistic the thing is (in overall) because I believe that the coolest thing about Batman is it can be authentic and real, which was nicely considered with these two models.
The best Batmobile ever made
Gordon is right " I gotta get me one of those"
You can tell they drew inspiration from the Countach---the general shape and those rear intakes.
The jump was real? WTF
Ramp jump
yep, no cgi or practical effects (except the rooftop scene which was made with a large scale model due to safety risks and costs involved). However, the boost jumps are done with ramps because it wasn't possible to get enough thrust from a rocket jet that size, at least not with their budget. In theory it could work tho.
@@Real_MisterSir yeah a jet thruster coudlve worked just everything behind it wouldve been incenerated
It’s the real Bat-Mobile. Next time you making a Star Wars, make a functional lightsaber or X-wing, imagine that.
Bloody marvellous how all this work goes into a film, most people simply just don’t realise!
We lived through the best of entertainment, it’s over now. Just Fallout.
Things like this makes the Batman trilogy truly amazing, the efforts these guys put in is on a different level.
Well done Chris.
The best Batmobile! LOVE THE TUMBLER!
Love that Christopher Nolan is so much into this himself 😃
That's the kind of car I would drive it's big and looks cozy and safe 🙈
When I first saw it in BB I wasn't sure it would work. Looked nothing like "batmobiles" of the past. But you accept it the more you see it. Became "cool".
The Nolan Dark Knight series were THE BEST superhero films to date (next to the Christopher Reeve Superman...first one). A shame Nolan doesn't believe in Dolby Atmos or DTS X. So on the 4k Blurays you get 4k video...with "standard bluray" audio :P I would have bought all 3 movies again in 4k.
This is pretty cool.. love to see a military version of the car.

Every big little facts about this trilogy make me fall in love with this man once more
It's incredible that the finished product looked even better than the photoshop concept they presented.
nolan by far is the best director for me. i loved almost every movie of him. i wish if he had done the justice league.
Really like they trying to make Batman features based more on reality .otherwise it would just be nerdy
Jeff Ho its a movie about batman its going to be a bit "nerdy" no matter what and honestly I don't think That's A bad thing
johnathon something nothing I think he means a Batmobile thats the most optimal in terms of performance in real life. This could have been a military vehicle and no one would label it “nerdy” but since it’s the Batmobile, it’s going to have that stigma regardless of how badass it really is.
@@solesxtoes3582 The thing is, this is not a comic book movie. It's a genuine investigation-thriller that leans into the near future sci-fi - and it just happens to have a superhero in it. If you take the superhero out of the movie, it's still a fully fletched movie on its own. It doesn't rely on any comic book qualities, which is what makes it so immensely great. Take any marvel movie and remove the superhero elements, or BvS for that matter - and you are just left with seen-before plots and nothing creative or standalone. THEY are comic book movies. The Dark Knight trilogy are just movies that happen to have comic book characters in them, that's all. Many in my family dislike comic book movies in general, but the all love the Dark Knight trilogy. It's definitely not nerdy just because it has Batman as a character in it.
Best batmobile right here.
I don't care for the Tumbler as a batmobile design. But I still love it as a one man tank attack vehicle.
I always thought it belonged in Halo as a UNSC vehicle.
Shows how obsolete cop cars are. Petition to have tumblers in every PD
it would cost a fortune
Fuck no
F Sanera why, I wanna be protected and I can’t take my AR with me everywhere
Strange, the most epic thing was that test footage of the Tumbler trying to squeeze between two vehicles.... and accidentally knocking one of them up the wall!!!
The Tumbler gets so much hate. This is My Batmobile.
So the Tumbler's jump was inspired by Knight Rider's Turbo Boost?
I can buy that.
I suppose it's an urban legend but I read somewhere that, without the weapons, the Tumbler would be a perfectly legal car to drive in public roads.
I assume that it would also require to remove the jet and it's capability of jumping but it wouldn't surprise me if it was, indeed, legal to drive.
Damn cool Batman ride!!! Best batmobil ever
Everything in this car and in design was perfect..
*Nolan Directing Dunkirk*
I didnt want to use CGI, so we got in contact and here are some terminal patients who volunteered to blow themselves up.
Oh wow.. what an awkward ending, lady at the end caught me of guard!
Movies nowadays: fancy CGI
Nolan movies: NO
I love batman begins.. And the whole trilogy movies ... I m die hard fan of batman.... Fan of Christian bale too...i m from india... I have been watched the dark knight trilogy more than 6 times... Each movie 6 times... I love and i m following the principles which is delivered in the movie as some words... Thank you...
It obviously takes inspiration from frank miller's the dark knight returns aesthetic batmobile
A lot of shots in the triology are exact recreation of strips from the dark knight returns and year one
a tank and sports car mashup. nolan and arkham knight batmobile is top notch combat monster
I love the Tumbler, what a gorgeous beast!
What most of the fans miss when comparing DC's movies with Marvel is that a) practical effects don't make up for bad stories and b) just because you get to do your spin on the character doesn't mean you can violate the sacred things he/she is known for in the comics.
Here using practical working props and vehicles was impressive, because it lent itself to that realistic feeling of how Batman might be if he's real. This Batman might be Nolan's spin, but that spin bled into the comics because this version of Batman was phenomenal. He not only embodied the core values of his comic book counterpart but enhanced them, made Batman's character more legendary. I respect this trilogy immensely for bringing back Batman to the movies for the badass he is.
Making the Batcave and other things practical doesn't mean that BvS is an automatic success. You need character development, plot pacing, plot sense, motivations that can be understood and finally, get the same idea and summary of the source material. Marvel may be 90-100% CGI, but DCEU's spin on DC comics' characters are not good. No DC movie since TDKR has moved me immensely like the way Infinity War and Endgame did. It may have been CGI, but the acting and character writing was phenomenal, like in this trilogy. So roast me all you want. I am a hardcore DC fan, but I have to agree that the MCU has made characters most people don't know about till 2008 into household names.
The most amazing bat mobile till date ….total badass

My favourite vehicle of all time.
This is the only Bat mobile I think would actually make sense in the real world
I guess it would be powered by 4 in wheel electrical motors and the Turbine could generate electricity for either supercapacitors or a new revolutionary technology of solid state batteries
So it would be a hybrid of sorts.

Since The Dark Knight is my favorite Batman, then Tumbler is the best bat mobile

This car can really jump?
Yes
Off of ramps, but the jet engine isn't real so it can't jump by itself
As we all know, Mr. Nolan likes realistic filming. Therefore, he must have been near Saturn to film the worm hole for Interstellar.
Chris Nolan you work of art, you

Suddenly I’m into physics
The end of this video was weird. They start talking about this jet engine and jumping like it was real. Yes it had a "jet" exhaust, but it was only used for show and had no thrust.
They were saying that in the context of the film it making the jumps is possible.
