MP Shan is very clear and precise with the explanation here and its SL who is unclear on the step to be taken cos she did not provide specific msg from Apple about the hack also hows her phone anti virus protection status like and did she click any phishing sms or visit any high risk website or any other self doing that caused the hacking and if really hacked with sufficient proof she can make a report or seek advice from SPF cos its unethical and unprofessional to raise this matter in ParliamentHouse so bluntly like that and as an educated person its dumbfounded if you are proven to be oblivion to such simple protocols.

Something strange about the message Ms Lim received from iphone. If a phone has been hacked, I thought the provider of that message will just say your phone may be hacked or has been hacked, do something, etc. This message provider seemed to me very precise as the source of the hacking (From State). My feeling is that message probably a scam and Ms Lim falls for it!

The idea of going to the MHA and just asking them if they’re trying to hack into your phone is a bit silly. Obviously they’re not going to admit to it. And it’s not something you do by mistake. Hacking into a device is a very intentional act so what exactly would they be investigating? Anyway maybe Apple can provide more information about the source of the attack, if what Lim says is true.

Ms Lim is an opposition MP. There is reason to suspect that the govt agency may have hacked into her phone. She has a right to ask in Parliament. We like to hear the answer straight from the horse's mouth. The minister has suggested it might have come from a foreign agency. We give him the benefit of the doubt for now. All ministries must beware. Now all MPs must assume they are potential targets.
