I think Alaska is absolutely beautiful and given half a chance I’d sell up tomorrow and move out there , I love the silence , I love the slow pace of life out there , love the cold and the darkness and the scenery is some of the best in the world .

Hello Somers family. Good to see you all. Lauren Daigle is one of my favorites. So glad Jessica got to go see her.
I used to live in the South of France and I was also mindblown at how some people can just go to concerts like it's nothing. Almost every artist I cared about either only had their concerts in the US, or else if it was in France, it was in Paris. Now I'm studying in the Netherlands and I live in the city center and it's crazy how you can get to anywhere within walking distance or by bike. Cars aren't really a necessity here, which is so nice. Of course, most things are in Amsterdam, but you can get there in 30 mins if you take the train, from where I live. It's such a change!
That was so awesome that you got to see Lauren Dagle!!! She is awesome!! Never thought about people not coming to Alaska for concerts. After all Alaska is part of the USA. 😂. The scenery and the rainbow were beautiful! Thanks for taking us along! ♥️🎶♥️

It's going to be almost 90° here in Southern Michigan today. It feels like a summer day not a fall day. These days are numbered so I will take it & try not to complain too much, lol!
Looks like you had a great time at the concert, glad you got away to recharge. Being a parent we always need a little time away. It looked like it was a packed concert which is awesome! I am going to a fair in Ohio today it's about an hour away from here. It's fair season here in the tri state area, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. Our county fair is at the end of the month and the last fair of the season. Anyway,

Just returned from a two week cruise/land tour. We fell in love with Alaska…and I got to go to the Santa House. Being from Alabama…every time I opened my mouth, I was asked where I was from! We would go again tomorrow if we could. We will be back…but just to visit.
Being from Maine I understand the ‘need to leave’ to appreciate where you live. Travel if you can! Love following you guys.
Living in Maine also would love a mid winter travel to get recharge but work in a school and it’s also ski season which I don’t want to miss those weekends either. My parents do take the January travel and that leaves me shoveling snow at 2 places as storms always come when they leave.
I've lived in NC for my entire 30 years and I'm hoping to relocate to Maine in a few months! I've never seen a winter anything close to what you get there.

I have three family members die this year and one very close call at 34 years old. My dream is to see Alaska. I'm going to take two weeks in 2023 and explore at least the Southern coast of Alaska, maybe more. I'm 61 years and want to visit while I'm able. Your videos give me some ideas. I flew up from IA to help my friend at her booth at the AK State Fair until Sat, Sept 4! I missed you by a day... I looked everyday, just in case :-) I will come up again- AK is amazing!!!!!

I don’t go to many concerts even though I could here in Minnesota. What I really would miss if I moved there would be our awesome Christian radio station. It is online now but it really wouldn’t be the same. I struggle with our cloudy rainy days here, I don’t think I could handle the dark winters. I would love to visit one day though!

the trail is beautiful. We have some great hiking and waterfalls here in Oregon. I personally don't go to concert cause I'm old (58) but my brother lives in Vegas and he texted me yesterday that he was seeing Motley Crue and Def Leppard. My daughter likes them. Concerts can be so fun. I'm glad to see Jessica could have a little get away. Everybody needs that once in a while.

Between Labor Day and NYE I'll attend at least 4 concerts. Not as huge except Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes on Summer Stage at the Stone Pony, in Asbury Park NJ. (A shore town) There was thousands of people. If you don't know Southside Johnny think Bruce Springsteen. He help Bruce in the early years, they played together. Now Bruce sometimes makes a surprise visit. One is a girls night!!! We're an hour + from Philadelphia and an hour from NYC but we prefer smaller concerts at the Jersey Shore. I'm so excited Jessica had a great time!!

We live in very Northern California. It gets cold here and our heating fuel went from 2.49 last winter to 5.24 this fall. Per gal. Love your channel to the moon and back. 🙏❤️

I live in Wisconsin and watch because of the content. You are good people and fun to watch. I have always wanted to go to Alaska and your vlog is one way to visit. Property taxes are not added onto a mortgage here in WI. They are a yearly thing to be paid. Some are lucky and can make 2 or 3 installment payments and some pay them all at once. For instance I make 3 payments. One in January, one in April and the last in July.
It depends on the bank & how much your mortgage is(we're in central Wi).

I grew up in Fairbanks. I went to see my favorite band, Def Leppard (Hysteria) in Anchorage, May ‘88. As my first concert, it was epic. ❤️

I live in a VERY small town that no one outside of the immediate area has a clue exists. So I understand about the lack of entertainment and amenities. We’re just glad there’s a theater, a grocery store, dollar general and a subway in the town northwest of us
Hi All, Thank you for your videos. I live in Canada. Things are dfferent here. Winter in the western region is cold, minus 25 and colder at times. Snow we are used to shovelling and snow blowing. Winter clothes, tires, boots are very normal. We have the things one would expect to find as well. Linda Warnke
The last thing I did before the pandemic shutdown in 2020 was go to a Lauren Daigle concert. I think that was the best concert I’ve ever been to. She was unbelievable!

I live in the lower 48 but most exciting things are 4 to 6 hours from here and train and bus are the biggest distance public transportation. Our closest big (affordable) store is 20+ miles which seems to be the same with you guys. I am in a tourist town though so I hate and love summer but winter is rough. I was born in a populated area and things weren’t far away

Heating here in North Carolina doubled in late February, as a senior I couldn’t fill my propane tank but half of a one hundred gallon tank. I don’t know what seniors will do during this inflation.

Oh my goodness. I was on that trail with my 2 oldest grandchildren years ago. They were 4 and 8, now they are 18 and 22. Loved living in that area for just shy of 2 years.

I live in Europe and prices for energy (heating, car, electricity) have hit sky high. While Russia has shut off the natural gas pipelines indefinitely', I heard on the news last week that natural gas has increased 908%. We've been warned for a very difficult winter ahead.
Anyway, my point is that it is/will be difficult for all of us, no matter where we live in the world. You're not alone in this!

Yes! Prices here in LA are pretty similar to yours. The only difference is my a/c bills are probably as high as your heating bills, since I live in a place outside of LA that’s always hot….San Fernando Valley

I turn 60 this year, never been to a concert in my life, I avoid crowds whenever I can.
Hi guys, I never even gave concerts a second thought, I guess living just outside of Manchester I've been so lucky to have been able to see lots of concerts in lots of different venues. Manchester has a massive foody scene tons of restaurants, clubs, pubs etc and it's something we just take for granted. I'm writing with a heavy heart tonight, we lost our beloved queen a few days ago and even though we didn't know her on a personal basis we 'knew' her like a kind of distant aunt. She was an amazing woman and will be sadly missed. So now we have a new King in Charles, I'm absolutely sure he'll be a great king but our queen of 70yrs will very much be missed for a long time coming, we are currently in a state of mourning which will carry on for some days yet. You take care of yourselves and keep happy
We moved to a small town. We have to drive 20 minutes to 45 minutes to go to stoves and home depot. Restaurants. Most just mom and pop shops.
Its hard to get used to.
I live in a town of about 1800 residents in Northwest Ohio! My property taxes are about $800 per year for 90' X 106' with 3bdrm 1 bath and detached 24'X32' with a full upstairs storage!
