It seems the government is isolated in an echo chamber laden with leftist “Babus” and bureaucrats who come up with such horrendous policies.
This country needs a complete overhaul of the British era bureaucrat system. Not to mention these so called “Babus” are against the lateral entry of extremely qualified individuals into the system to serve the country.

Agniweer is a blunder by modi govt. 2.0.
Only Weapons don't fight war / defend nation but the soldier's MORAL and commitment to nation also fight war.
Agniweer will not let the trainee disconnect from fear of death and worry for family after his demise and it will weaken the connect of soldiers to his duty and sacrifice if needed.
It appears as a scheme by foreign funded agents in defence & gov. / intoxicated / insane personals.
Defence is last option, why was this not tested in other forces like RPF, CRPF, Police, etc.
Railway understands the value of the group-d who inspect's and mend railway tracks, as outsourcing may cost lifes, so they are permanent staff, but defence 🤔 don't have those big picture thinkers.

The multiple terrorist attacks in Jammu, Doda etc areas of lower Kashmir is a huge failure of Indian Intelligence. Ever since Pulwama attack on Army convoy hundreds of attacks by Pakistani terrorists have happened on Army and civilian targets in Kashmir. NSA Doval has failed in huge way. Doval should be sacked and kicked out. A new NSA should be made from retired General from Para SF Commando who have operated in Kashmir and is war experienced himself.

Utilize the intelligence and experience of people like Maj Gen Bakshi in a Defence Steering Committee to take the country to a next level. Similarly, take the intelligence and knowledge of SC Advocate Upadhyaya and give him a position of Law Reforms Minister (not Law Minister). In the same manner, involve the knowledge and patriotism of Nazia Elahi Khan. Don't ignore such diamonds which are very precious for the nation building. Come out of jealousy and laziness which is built in us Hindus.

I agree and thanks a lot for a detailed analysis of our Army affairs explained by Maj. Gen. GD Bakshiji. Indian Govt must spend 2 percent of GDP on Army. Agniveers be retained for 10 years, thereafter 50 be retained in Army and 50 be recruited in Police/ BSF/ ITBP/ CSIF etc. Army Strength be upgraded in manpower/Weapons ASAP. Defence Minister/ CDS/ Defence Chiefs must act. To counter terrorists attack, our force must be offensive rather defensive.

All the citizens must pressurize the government to scrap of the Agniveer scheme. This is not only about the job but also the security of our country. No one can work efficiently when they have the sword hanging over their heads of getting fired. The old system of recruitment have proved its might to the enemy multiple times. Please don't bring changes in the Army just by sake of saying we are abolishing british traditions and practices. Those practices were workable and gave results to the British and the Indian army too. So if we use them there is no harm in it. If you are so eager to bring reforms cut the pensions of the politicians, don't wave off the cooperate taxes, bring changes in civil services and police which is the most inefficient institution of our country. Just leave the army, don't bring ridiculous changes in it. If these people get a few thousands extra in their salary there is no harm in it

Not at all viable!! Just look from a soldiers perspective, unit of the soldier is the second home for him. He live there, fight there, No one can work efficiently when they have the sword hanging over their head of getting fired and here we are talking about the army which is life and death. Agniveer should be scrapped completely and we should shift to the old system which have proved its might to the enemy

Hello Mr all knowing civilian , why do you think one will be ready to fight for you , die or kill for you when you don't feel attached to the force you are serving with and that doesn't happen in one day , it happens with regimentation something which you people won't understand.
Yup be the ill supplied army, spent 70% on salaries and pension, 25% on operational expense and 5% on r&d and modernisation...it's all about Sarkari job,,,keep pushing the fighting age upwards , wah re wah👌...just like how we vote? Happy to hear a soldier speak his heart out on most important issues . Each word needs to be paid attention to. But in the last minutes he is back with the outbursts that he is known for after his retirement. Most people may not agree with the last part.
During his field posting at Jk border , once there was a heavy military firing from Pak . The then General , Gen. Bikram Singh had visited the site & if l am not wrong , scolded Maj .Gen Bakshi , GOC , as to why he had to wait for orders for immediate retaliation .
Pak may be at a very low economically. We were also in that condition in the 1990s. Were we militarily weak during that period. Absolutely not. Do not underestimate enemy.
Maj Gen is great. His suggestion is hundred percent right. I salute him.
