Ok I just learned this the reason those riders r so light is because just by putting a little pressure those bits r very strong and if u just do a little nudge it’s very hard so it looks like theirs nothing but it is actually just very strong bits. I do agree about the horses trusting their owners tho

I tried my best to go western, especially after marrying a Texan and moving here, but it's just not me. The icing on top? I have a disturbing hang-up about my horse's neck and head placement. The only times I've ever seen my horse's head go as low as in the Go-Pro views of the reining resulted in my horse flipping and landing on me. Instant hang-up and bad feeling in my gut when my horse's head goes that low. Thankfully, there were only three of those times, but I would like to avoid fourth time. Who am I kidding? It's going to happen, again.

western style as well as western life is...i don't want to say harder because both styles and ways of living are hard let's be honest but i personally think western is a lot ROUGHER, while English is a lot STRICTER. With English, and please do correct me if I'm wrong but don't be a total ass about it, as far as I know the fastest sport the English style has is hunting, again correct me if I'm wrong, while everything else goes at a moderate pace, mean while with the western style Reining is our fastest sport with the horse usually going 3.9 meters per second (Tried to find a MPH translation but i could not) and with reining all your really doing is guiding your horse through a pattern at a very high speed. Again feel free to correct me if I'm wrong after all I'm no expert on ether style so I won't be surprised if I got something, or everything, wrong.
