My father was on HQ Troop No 3 Cdo at Amfreville etc. I've been there but it's so difficult to imagine what these guys endured and achieved. This helped a lot. Thank You.
My Grandad was in Anfraville with the 6th Airborne 211 light airborne artillery, there is a picture of him next to a glider with “Churchill’s reply” on the side, where can I find anymore info about his regiment?
@@WW2TV yes, my dad was a signaller ? RA Gunner on 3 Cdo. He fell asleep on a bed upstairs one day and a shell hit the roof. He was showered with tiles, plaster etc.

The RNR got its royal designation after a battle in Beaumont Hamel on the first day of the Battle of the Saume, July 1, 1916. Ultimately, Newfoundland's war effort led to its bankruptcy in the 1930s, the only dominion to lose its political system and taken under British Tutelage. Hope to see your channel grow. Interesting piece, I’ve been there but Neil (whom I’ve met and is a lovely chap) adds an extra level of detail I wish I’d known at the time. A suggestion would be more google terrain maps to show where he is at each stand and the direction he’s facing. Happy to be a subscriber.

It was demolished years ago. Structurally unsound
