- What a true sportsman/athlete. Despite the horrific crash he lifted himself up and gave the crowd a thumbs up. Top Bloke 👍

Am here at oulton park this weekend just seeing this for the 1st time😬that was bad heard it on the speakers bad crash but said he got back up happy days these people who do this sport are proper legends not like footballers rolling around on the floor for 3 days🤷♂️🤷♂️👊
Yeah exactly, he just composed himself then stood up checked on the bike before walking off and giving the thumbs up. 👍👍

foam fence done its job, Hickey hit it perfectly, slowed him down at least 50% .. insane

Yeah to slide down a track like that and smash through a barrier and then get up as if you e just tripped over. 👍
Doubt he made a mistake front trail braking, I suspect a mechanical fault thanks for posting vid.
When I watch the video frame by frame in the editing stage it looks like the front tyre simply lost traction and washed out. 👍

@701Adventures I was just listening to Countdown to the TT Ep. 5 and they said it was an unspecified fault in the bike. Not Hicky's fault.
@@PizzaChet I don’t think anyone ever suggested it was his fault, it’s a risky business and sometimes these things just happen for no apparent reason 👍

Yeah you wouldn’t want a spill like that on a road, it wouldn’t end well but on a track and wearing the right gear, you live to ride another day. 👍

Airbags have changed this so let’s get them better designed for road users
Totally and also if possible make them more affordable 👍
So when I spoke to alpinestars they insisted on abrasion material which isn’t ventilation friendly so people could wear outside which is stupid. U already have a decent abrasion jacket make the material mesh which is lighter and cooler remove the armour on back and put an airbag to protect the double s shape spine which hard armour does not
Love it,the first thing he does when he gets up is to see if the bike is ok 🤣 Mountain biking,big crash,get up and say to your buddies " Im ok I'm ok,is the bike Ok ? " My bones will fix and it's free,my bike won't fix itself and that ain't cheap,not on a two grand full susser. Obviously when it comes to the "trouble and strife" wife it does fix itself and it's cheap 🤣
