Example : NIFTY 50 @ Strike - 23000
Call OI = 12 Lakhs
Put OI = 15 Lakhs
Does it means,
(1) we have 12 lakh call WRITINGS against the strike of 23000?
(2) traders have SHORT 12 lakh call against the strike of 23000?
(3) there are no LONG call positions against the strike of 23000?

Thanks a Lots Sir, nice Explanation, Please can you clear a query that as you told call OI shows the resistance and Put OI shows support then if call OI is more at specific strike price then as option buyer we should buy a call or put option at that strike price because of as seller point of view of call option market will not go up at that strike price then we should buy a put option at that strike price because of market can go down, please explain me how to decide as buyer point of view.
