I find it amazing, incredible, and sensational how these fish finder guys can go on babbling for hours and not tell you anything that you can actually use. I am amazed yes. Incredible means lacking credibility. And the sensation I get is not good. Sensational.
To do the video correctly would require a really large boat that has every possible combination of hook2 products installed on it so that we could compare features etc. The video would be brutal and that's why it does not exist and can not exist.
Will there be adapter kits for the transducer, say I wanna use an older HDI transducer to the newer hook 2? Reason I ask because I will be using only 1 unit the Hook 2 7 and gonna be switching it back and forth on the console and bow. Since I've already have an older set up front and want to reuse the older accessories.

You're pointing out in a very subtle way that they're placing 6 or 8 products under the "hook2" umbrella and the features on each vary so widely that to answer your question requires the answerer to ask "which one are you talking about?". Asking that question completely destroys an illusion that's in play here and that is why your question sat unanswered for a year. It is a very good question.
