How come LCBO was allowed to close for a strike, but not during a "life threatening" pandemic?
Cause it was a Scam Demic..
The social impact of a 2 week strike in moderate. A multiple month closing would have produced a rise in crime, depression, suicide, violence. These discussions DO occur in high circles and never think of your 6th quarter commentary coming down the pike.
cuz Ford Conservatives
they werent fully closed
@@danmarijanovic2099are you serious? lol. Ontario is the only place on earth with alcohol that’s federally regulated. It’s actually crazy it’s existed this long. There’s a reason it’s more expensive and less convenient here than anywhere else.. all coming out of the tax payers dollars whether you drink or not.
They dictate prices, times, and places you can go and buy alcohol.
Don’t believe me? Drive to Montreal and buy alcohol at a circle k, or drive to buffalo and buy alcohol at a circle k, at any time of the night without a ridiculous tax on it
Oh man. Was great having no booze for two weeks. Cleansed my system. Think, I'll stay off it.

Imagine closing your store knowing you are one of the only providers of a substance that causes withdrawals so strong it kills people....what a good company
Exactly
Just how overpaid can store shelf stockers become??
Why don't you get a job with the LCBO and find out!
@@realemonful LCBO jobs are low skill, high turnaround tasks that any robot could perform/ complete. NOT worthy of high wages.
@@dereksitler7017 The average LCBO worker does not get paid much more than minimum wage! Beer Store workers get more than LCBO workers do!
@@dereksitler7017 Human beings with jobs are not there to be abused. Normal decent wages belong to the employed not based on your valuation. Now.. arrange liquor for a wedding or conference with a shelf stocker.
Do u really think all 9000 LCBO employees are shelf stockers? Did u know LCBO has a warehouse where LCBO employees unload foreign alcohol containers organize, palletize then ship it to the shelf stockers. Dont judge a book by it cover
Get back to stocking those shelves
Glorified cashiers
Exactly the best face it and find a job in a private store now before the all loose there jobs
@dennisbudge8750 Ont,🇨🇦 is actually Much more CONTROLLED Communist than China🇨🇳...
aw
Didnt even know it was closed
Be better if people continued not going
Canada has a serious alcohol problem.
I hope the Province does not pay back pay
It won't.
Get ready for it, all Alcohol prices will now go up, just to pay these union workers,
Don't buy anymore alcohol, unless the Government allows all store to sell wine and beer from all over the world.
Paying cashiers 100k is not good enough apparently
@@CorporateShill66 Beer Store "Cashiers" get paid more than the LCBO "Cashiers" do!
Lol no one is making 100000 as a cashier. Where u getting this info@CorporateShill66
@realemonful Every time I enter a 'Beer' store, I feel like I'm in Soviet Russia circa 1955
Who Cares!
Lol, how employees can be compensated for going on strike. What a joke 😂😂😂
What strike though? Literally illegal what they did. I saw ZERO employees protesting outside ever.......
I can't believe the head union man wanted taxpayers to pay for days off on strike.
lol really? doesnt come as a shock to many
I betcha increase in alcohol. Will see .
Privatize this boondoggle. It was the answer to Saskatchewan problems with liquor employees.
What about the locations that were to open? Are they still opening?
The taxes on the sales pay for things and the taxes will still be there when it gos private we just wont be paying for lcbo buildings and high wages benefits ect.
Beer store prices went up but yhey also got bailout
God bless! I only had half a bottle of whiskey left.
Breakfast would not be the same without it.
I rationed a partial bottle .. late night movie nip.. and made it to Friday. LOL.
Raises? Aren’t they making over $100,000/year? Really?
I hope LCBO employees use their increased wages to get an education so they can get better jobs. The writing is on the wall: the LCBO will be privatized.
give money to galen
🔶️close the LCBO.
Put the products in other stores / allow private business to sell the products.
Why does the government need to sell vodka ?
Because booze is a cash cow
The government can take a percentage of the profits and put that money into hospitals and schools. Walmart etc., is not going to fund Ontario institutions.
@sticklerforchange taxes fund those, don't let a government agency tell you any different
Government is no one friend, especially the citizens they are suppose to serve
@@Buckle02 The profit margin on selling Canadian and imported liquors mean TAXES do not fund the LCBO. The LCBO funds your EMTs who respond to you. even if they are not your friend until they save your life
I'll drink to that!
Thank god. Now the cocktail folks can stop buying up my Arizona Hard Teas at the Beer store!
Yowtch. Gross.
And on another, MORE IMPORTANT note:
This all was ridiculous. The whole strike.
We worry/freak out about the LCBO in Canada, when other people in other countries don't have safe WATER to drink.
Just saying.
Privatize!!
70% of the LCBO workers were temporary workers! My goodness, what an abuse inflicted on the Canadian work by our Government (provincial) Shame on the Ontario Government.
Who cares if they reopen. Always long lines at local LCBO and one store on the far side of town.
Impressive how she can talk in circles and keep a straight face.
When I hear the words it's for 'safety' or 'confidentiality' I know they're lying.
CERB cheques not refundable at LCBO locations?
Get rid of the "booger pack"
Now we should boycott them
They were out of cash from their part time cashier jobs. Wasnt missed. Still have the booze I wanted
Nobody cares LCBO is redundant
Ummm, im probably with you in spirit but redundant means that it is somthing there are already many things of... So the LCBO is literally the opposite of redundant. There are not a redundant number of liquor store varieties. There is one. ("Win rack" stocks a different theme of inventory) Its a Monopoly...
Ontario's worst people won't like this.

Commies and economic ignorance. Name a more iconic duo.
This is disgusting. The govt control over liquor in Ontario is unlike any other place on the planet. It should have been privatized like the rest of the world ages ago, and here they are making demands and cutting deals with tax payer dollars.
People lose jobs, things become obsolete, grow up and find another “skill”, Put these people out of their misery and lose the lcbo.
you want galen own everything?
@@junkfoodguy “Galen” lol. It’s grocery stores of all types, convenience stores (including independently owned ones), and box stores.. the lcbo and the Ontario govt will still be the distributer and wholesale and they will be taxed the same as they would at the lcbo.
Alas, the only thing this changes is that it will be more convenient for consumers to buy it. They can get it while they grocery shop, or not have to cross town to an inconvenient location at an inconvenient time that the lcbo dictates.
This is how it’s handled in every other province and state, I see no reason to see this greedy monopoly take advantage of us anymore.
