I bought the ST a few weeks back. I'm 6'1" put forward controls and a Le Pera Kick flip saddle and it's perfect. 1200 miles in 5 weeks, couldn't be happier. And she's damn fast!
I just bought my Low Rider S over the weekend and it had ABS. It’s a 2024 model. I’m going to put a quarter fairing and some off brand saddle bags and make it an ST while saving 2 grand.
I believe the ST is a great deal, I mean you can save a few bucks but now you’ll have to factor in your labor. DIY is good too, but if you’re wrenching, you ain’t riding.
This is the reason I want this machine, not a fan of tech and abs. it was hard to find a bike without. 2018 I bought a naked Zed 900 and it is 14 pounds lighter. this bike is my choice...love it. Thanks for the risky ride to give the information.
Yeah I gotta swap out my stock air breather… not because my shin hits it in standard riding position (I’m 5’10 and have plenty of clearance on my ‘22) but I definitely can’t reach my highway/crash bar on the right side with the stock setup. I have a Cage Fighter otw so hopefully that helps.

This may be my next bike if I upgrade from my 20 Street Bob. I like the looks of the Breakout but I've thought about it and it's just not practical for me since windscreen and bags would look stupid on that bike. I don't want the fixed faring that comes with the st and I like the gauge on this one more. Was not aware that the suspension was upgraded, that's a plus. Harley now sells the st bags stand-alone as well as the Leather Pros which I have on my Bob
100 percent agree with ya about the Breakout, that's a bike you keep bagless, kinda like the Fat Boy. The FXLRS is a well rounded bike, good for around town and long range. You can actually still use your Leather Pros on the FXLRS, same mounting location and everything. Hope you find a solid deal
@InfamousCreep I don't think I can use my Leather pros but no big deal. I have the bike specific version with cutouts for the stock rear lights. Harley now sells a branded version for the Lowrider which I'll probably have them install. Of course they charge more for the same thing.
Another thing I like about the Lowrider s vs st is the guage. The st has the stripped down street bob guage that I now have and the s has a much nicer round guage with analog tach

Got my brand new 23 lowrider s with tc and abs. Love my bike. but couldnt see myself paying a couple extra thousand for a fearing and bags on the st.

Still waiting for my '23 LRS to come in, almost a month now. Decided to go ahead and get the ventilator extreme intake so I wont have to deal with my knee hitting the stock one since I will be swapping to forward controls.
Just picked one up, the intake doesn't even bother me and I'm 6'2
@@icytrapjesusone5638 its only a problem when going with forward control. I did the swap and with forwards the slimmer air cleaner def makes a difference when using the rear brake.
Ok was definitely thinking about getting forward controls this is good to know.

Other than cruise control and standard ABS. What's the difference between 22 and 23?
The 22 also doesn’t have ABS, and the only difference between the 22 and the 23 is the air breather placement. The 22 air breather was on my shin the whole time, I didn’t have that issue with the 2023.
Been riding nothing but Harleys for 26 years. I have zero interest in the ABS system which I have seen catch fire on a Dyna Wide Glide. Just more shit to fail and you become overconfident on. I know that without ABS I need to properly control my brakes, especially in a sudden situation. That's a skill that every rider should have. I rather have the cruise control over the ABS.
I see it as an engine guard, it’s good to have just in case. I see a lot of folks prefer not having abs, but you’re still paying the abs included price with these 2023s. The 2023 FXLRS should have a $17.2k MSRP since they secretly removed the rider assist.

Not in America, only softail with ABS standard is the FXLRST.

When were all the issues w the m8 worked out for the low rider s what year ?
2020 M8s have the new oil pump, anything 2017-2019 have the faulty one.

Capacity wise, yes 👍. I really like how they look, but you can’t go wrong with LeatherPros 🔥

I have, they’re fun and responsive. I don’t care much for the TFT display, but ride modes are extremely fun.
