    Every time you said that you're not sure if you pronounced it right, my wife and I looked at each other and smiled. You pronounced those names better than our kids could. They were born here, and they speak Vietnamese with an accent. You have a talent for speaking Vietnamese! It's not easy. Great job.

    It usually takes me 6 hours to prepare a good pot of phở broth. Wanna eat phở on Saturday, have to start the broth on Friday night. Cannot rush with phở.
    Thank you for introducing Vietnamese cuisine to the world.

    Sometimes I wish I could travel to exotic locations to eat authentic foods. But I'm happy eating food at various restaurants in America where I'm less likely to get food poisoning.

    loved vietnamese food before it was in style. ate it in the mid eighties when all the viet boat refugees started opening restaurants in my area. Viet is now kinda the hip food these days. As you can see in the video, its a lot more than just pho.
    wanna come down to visit again ,but the rental cars are outrageous now and into the future. Was checking sep and oct and the hotel prices are nuts .

    • @lasvegaseats702
      @lasvegaseats702  Před 3 lety

      Yeah the prices are crazy. Hotels are cheapest on weekdays AWAY from the strip: Fiesta Henderson, Sunset Station, Sam's Town, Boulder Station, Cannery Hotels (both locations), ... these used to have reasonable rates during weekdays... don't know about now.

      @@parlayin Thank you for your comments, I appreciate them.
      Some people have told me that they don't want to see eating scenes because it was disgusting to them. Some people just aren't into mukbang-type videos. Also, I've come to the point now where I can't show myself. to show myself now would take the mystery element away... and my channel would not be the same.
      There are some people who have seen me... either from my old video (which are now deleted), and the restaurants where I film. Now I'm convinced that featuring the food is the best thing.

    Not so much from Chinese even though because there are many Chinese who were born and raised in Vietnam for generations have cultivated Chinese Cantonese style food sold in Saigon. However, traditional Viet foods from north, central and south regions do not have a lot of influences from China. Viet foods are generally not cooked in a wok. Viet foods are heavily flavored by onions, shallots, garlic and fresh herbs. The Vietnamese people are very creative in inventing dishes and regionally driven. Northerners prefer savory while southerners like sweetness. Central like savory and spicy. Northerners like soups and southerners grill more. Unique thing about Vietnamese cuisine is there are countless dishes and flavors and you will never be able to try it all if you are in VN. it would take living there for at least six months to go after it.
